Kooralbyn Valley MTN Bike Park A community information page about Mountain biking in kooralbyn valley. That lead to the creation of the Kooralbyn Valley Mtn bike Club Inc.

In 2008 the Kooralbyn resort closed along with the famous Kooralbyn Mtb trails which had hosted numerous national Events and had also been a training facility for the Australian Mtb team. With such a big history and the likes of Cadel Evans racing on the course a resurrection was imminent. After years of sitting idle the tracks had disappeared and were overgrown with bush lost to memories of the

past. Years of talking of resurrecting the trails lead to a few enthusiastic local Mountain bike riders getting together and making a start finding, clearing and improving the old trails. Which in conjunction with The Kooralbyn Resort our goal is to create one of Australia's Premier Mountain Biking Destinations.

Due to the weather forecast this weekend, we’ve made the tough call to cancel shuttles.

We know it’s disappointing, but rider safety and protecting the trails always comes first.

After much speculation, it has come to light that the UCI will not impose a cap on wheel size in 2026, thereby allowing use of 32” wheels in competition. Much of the conversation has centered around the implications for XC racing, but i’ll add that this applies to DH, as well. I don’t know that it would ever go mainstream, but I’d bet my morning coffee that I’ll see a 32”/29” mega-mullet DH bike raced at a World Cup in the next five years. Full article on the homepage now
