This weeks Saturday social bowls is on and the weather looks pretty good so come on down. No experience needed just come and have a go teams drawn at random.

Here are the winners of the day. A massive thanks to Lifestyle villages for sponsoring the day, a huge thanks to our Members, Maggie for organising raffle prizes, Daniel and Erin Price for there generous donations to the day, Adrian for running the bar all day, Steve from the catering company and his crew for serving us on the day. Another massive thanks to Gian Pianezzola for doing the scoring and days umpire. Along with Gian another enormous thank you to Tracey Hill whom had sleepless nights due to doing a lot of organising behind the scenes as well helping Gian with the scoring and general running of the day along with running raffle. To the MC of the day Steve Plumridge, huge job being on the microphone all day but nailed it. The greens ran really well considering the weather so big thanks to the green keeper Cameron Davey. Thanks to Rod Hues, John Harrower, Nathan hogan, Joy and Jim Jenkins for all the prep with gardens and surrounds. If I have forgotten anyone which I am sure I have thanks to all other members for there work in the preparation for the day.Last but not least thanks to all the players and supporters that turned up, stayed all day and made it an awesome event regardless of the weather. See you all next year.

On Saturday 11th April we hosted our first major tournament the, Lifestyle’s Alexander’s Koo Wee Klassic. A Memorial Day for our Life member Rex and his mother and Father whom were also a huge part of the club. 16 teams played out 4 games through the first horrid day with freezing wind and rain but to everyone’s credit we got through it and every had a great day. Winners posted in the next lot of photos.

We came we saw we came so close but unfortunately, Mav played this morning against a really handy bowler Herbie Clarke whom played a game well beyond his years. Herbie controlled the game from start to finish and never really looked out of the game. To Mavs credit he never gave up but anything he tried Herbie had the answer. Herbie ended up winning the grand final and becoming the under 13’s champion. Mav will be better for the experience and next year Herbie is 13 and will be in the under 18’s class so ya never know. Well done Mav everyone is proud of you for even making it that far chin up and we go again next year💪
