This is going to be hard trying to sum up 13 yearsā¦
Here goes
A baby 6 weeks away and a calling to experience more of this country as a new family. the main reasons for making this decision.
Both Sharni and I are so fortunate to have been a part of this program, leaders in the lives of these amazing human beings who have taught us more than we could have ever taught them, make no mistake.
We have loved almost every minute⦠š Iād be lying if I said that every minute was amazing. But itās in those tough moments that we truly develop and grow.
Starting the shire development program at the age of 16, click forward 13 years and here we are. One of the strongest MAG clubs in NSW and Australia!
For such a a tiny gym we put our name on the map and stamped our legacy onto some plaques.
During our time at Shire we have achieved many things, but our biggest achievement was having the opportunity to work with some unreal people along the way, athletes, coaches and parents. There are way too many to name and we are forever grateful for the lessons learned and laughter had along the way.
Sharni and I will be taking a unknown period of leave. A trip around Australia with the newborn looking for new destinations and memories to make. We hope to stay in touch with the gymnastics community, who knows maybe we will drop in and see you!!
Keep an eye out for the white ISUZU towing itās MLLARD Caravan.
But for now, this is our last national Championships for a moment. Come say hi if youāre around, thank you for all youāre continued support and love through these posts.
Once the baby is born we will be organising a get together BBQ for all current and past athletes to say our farewells! So keep an eye on your emails and socials
A message to the boys at Shire who love this sport as much as we do..
āKeep going and never give up and the path to your dreamsā
