Vale Melissa Jeffery

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Melissa Jeffery, beloved wife of Nico.

During Nico’s playing days with the Hawks from 2014–2017, Mel was a constant and supportive presence on game days at the club, always bringing encouragement, warmth, and her infectious smile. Since then, Mel and Nico have remained part of our wider Hawks family, and her positivity and love for a good time will be dearly missed.

Nico has given so much to the club both on and off the field, and our thoughts are with him and the entire family at this time.

On behalf of everyone at Kingston Hawthorn Cricket Club, we extend our sincere condolences and support.

Awards Night 2026

Folks, time to celebrate a long, hard season, and reward our players that made outstanding achievements throughout the year.

The Awards night has been booked for Thursday 2nd April at the Flight Deck Bar and Grill, and we would love to see many of our friends and supporters in attendance.

This is a night to enjoy each other's company, reminisce the season just gone, tell a few tall tales, and in general, have a bit of fun.

It was a special day for Phil O'Meara on Day 2 of the Boxing Day test when he was inducted into Cricket Victoria's life membership for his "outstanding service to Victorian Cricket".

Phil has played an integral role as a highly-respected administrator and has played many roles in his time across many decades - including being so important to the growth of what was the Kingston Saints to now Kingston Hawthorn.

His influence has led to the success in a wide range of competitions and leagues that wouldn't be where they are today without Phil's presence.

Additionally, Phil also currently plays in the Over 70s cricket, showing his incredible love and passion for cricket both on and off the field.

A remarkable achievement Phil. Congratulations on being inducted to an elite category of members in the Cricket Victoria landscape. You thoroughly deserve it.
