There’s a particular kind of quiet that exists in the Tasmanian bush...
The sort that settles in somewhere between the first turn of the trail and the sound of your tyres finding the dirt.
Ferns crowd the edges of the track.
The trees close in.
Everything is green, and a little bit wild.
Then the trail bends.
You lean the bike into the corner, ease off the brakes and for a few seconds everything narrows, just the line in front of you, the ground moving underneath you and whatever comes next.
Maybe that’s why we ride.
Not always for the big days or the perfect conditions. Sometimes just to disappear into the bush for a while and come back covered in mud.
This is mountain biking in Tasmania.
And we wouldn't have it any other way.
Where does your favourite Tassie trail take you?
