The Tas GC Open Doubles final was played in atrocious conditions (8 degrees and driving rain) at NTCC this afternoon. Yvonne Shaw and Ben King (pictured below) were worthy winners. Phil Roach and Tony Johnson were runners-up.

Well done Phil! A great weekend of croquet.

From a field of 22 Phil Roach (Kingston) won The Tasmanian Golf Croquet Open Championship defeating Yvonne Shaw ( Sandy Bay) 2 games to 1 in the final played at the Northern Tasmanian Croquet Centre .

Here is our champion, Phil Roach hitting the winning shot from more than 15 yards to claim the MCMF - Murdoch Clarke Mortgage Fund 19 Point Tournament title for 2026!

Congratulation to our Phil Roach who took out the MCMF 19 Point Tournament today. Phil defeated Jamie Fleming (KCC) in a thrilling final! Ben King (Sandy Bay) finished 3rd from Sue Beattie (KCC).
In another close tussle, Tony Johnston defeated Patsy Paine in the Plate event. Well done to all on a terrific event, especially the referees and catering crew!
