Been a hot minute since my last post, Unfortunately there is no possibility of the old girl racing at this year's Baskerville Historics but rummaging thru photos and seeing my car on the cover of a Magazine has definitely renewed my love for this event. So this year I will be on the other side of the fence and helping out for the 3 days as a volunteer. I've helped out before at club and state level events but this year im really looking forward to helping this event continue in whatever way I can. I'm no Paul Giddings grid marshall extraordinaire but I sure can wave a flag with gusto.

Although this years Baskerville Historics didn't go as planned I am still indebted to the legends that helped get me there.

Without their support I would not have made it as far as I did. Car was just starting to come on song with a PB and ready for much more so stay tuned, she will be back.

Race 2, jumped the start, had a great first 2 corners then, shut the door commodore big time, mirror fell off, overtaken under a yellow flag, Es**rt didn't redress as he knew I couldn't afford to protest, car died, thought I was on fire, then the realization that there was a piston hanging out of the block.

A couple of videos to wrap up what was a horrid weekend.
Race 1, stalled, missed the start, overtook a Sud, hunted down an es**rt and held up the great Bowe for a few corners.

Challenging 2 days out at the track chasing persistent fuel issues. First 3 sessions resulted in being towed back to pits. Finally got a full session in during qualifying, not great laps but it was just good to be out there cutting laps. Did a bit of damage to the front spoiler pulling of the track on Thursday, quick overnight patch up job by TOOL Racing got it back together and looking race. Onto tomorrows races and can start playing with tyre pressures and suspension and go hunting es**rts.

Can't wait to be on the track racing with this legend. Not sure the Datto is up to the task but it will be an honour to be lapped by the great man.

The cat is well and truely out of the bag now. In some very exciting news we are going to have Tasmanian Legend John Bowe with us once again at this years Historics continuing his recent run of events in another Commodore! Swapping Elvis the STP VH Commodore for Adrian Millington’s beautiful VL IP Commodore competing for the Ian Harrington Memorial Trophy for Muscle Car Cup cars. How exciting seeing the famous 18 on a black Commodore!

Today the last part of the upgrades were ticked off. A HUGE HUGE HUGE thankyou goes to Kyle Smith and his dad. Absolute champions of the sport and both top blokes. To give up their Saturday to sort out my suspension and everything else they found that I have overlooked is nothing short of legendary. I cannot wait to get this car back on track in 2 weeks.
