Competing 80cm, lots of scope
Forward horse but super safe, pull out of the paddock, ride bare back around the block, etc

Has just come back after 8 weeks off with a splint from being kicked

2. EOI ONLY!! Monty - Glenifer Park Monticello
17.2hh 12yo black/brown gelding
You know him and love him, he’s been my pride and joy for the past 3 years competing up to 1*, 110cm SJ, and training all the next levels with ability and willingness to keep going
Very safe horse but lots of personality and a big strong boy, has been ridden by complete beginners on trails but will only be sold to an experienced home

Poa but mid 🥕🥕,🥕🥕🥕s

3. Dexter - Glenifer Park Lightning Dexter

GA but fussy on where he goes

Not in a rush to find homes, my own plans are changeable so just waiting for the right people for each horse
Full vet checks welcome, all horses are in great condition, all feet teeth worming up to date, ridden ones in light work

I am headed overseas for 5 weeks in April and need to have 2 horses sold by then!!
So here’s who is available:

1. Glenifer Park Classique - Charlie
CURRENTLY ON REST WITH A SPLINT
-7yo 15.2/3hh bay mare
-Competing confidently 80cm training 95s with lots of scope and willingness to jump
-Tense dressage tests but improving every ride and is lovely at home, just needs to learn to relax in the ring!
-Absolutely reliable horse, trail ride ba****ck in a halter, never spooky or herd bound, fat on pony pellets, barefoot, puts herself in the float
-Forward horse, and is a wind sucker (doesn’t affect her weight at all)
-Fantastic spine, current x rays available as a baseline precaution
$8500 negotiable

2. Glenifer Park Rumour Has It - Secret SOLD
-4yo 15.1hh chestnut mare
-Competed a handful of events 50cm and 65cm due to age, mostly finished on dressage score
-Good dressage, stays calm in the ring and produces a very cute test for mid 60s
-Can be forward jumping, careful and very brave
-Not a hot horse but not a kick ride either, all “negatives” are simply green horse things that are constantly improving
-Shows some spinal changes, no symptoms under saddle, and some positive flexion tests so best suited to trail riding, amateur dressage, and the occasional low jump. Happy to discuss with potential homes, has had a full vet check
-GA to only the correct home for her

3. Glenifer Park Lost Logic - Rupert SOLD
-5yo 16.2/3hh chestnut gelding
-Blank canvas type, has been to a handful of training outings and one pony club where he shows potential as an eventer, very unfazed by any jumps or scary things!
-Lovely trot, moves really well and compact uphill body type
-Lazy at home, but spices up and has a fair amount of seperation anxiety in new environments, just a typical green horse
-Arrived very light on, and is currently on ulcer treatment to improve weight, still has more to gain hence why he hasn’t had much training
-Experienced home only to continue education
$1500 negotiable

ALL HORSES ARE NEGOTIABLE!! I am always much more interested in finding the right home than getting the full price
No trials, leases, or time wasters please ask your parent/partner/agistment/bank loan provider and make sure you are actually able to purchase a horse before inquiring please 🥰t

Well state trials is officially a cursed event for me no matter what horse I ride!!
Charlie tried her hardest with it being only her fourth grade 3 and not the smoothest prep with me being very time poor
Started the weekend with her nicest dressage test of the season, still lots of room for improvement but really seeing the hard work and potential coming through
Cross country unfortunately picked up 40 faults that ultimately came down to rider steering and preparedness, which both could have been easily avoided and really didn’t have anything to do with the jumps just the silly rider on top🤦‍♀️
And then after a dead phone meaning my alarm didn’t go off, turning up late for trot up, the poor girl was lame with a suspected abscess brewing!
So no showjumping for us, and a second year going into trials with a guaranteed placing and not finishing 😂
Despite a less than ideal last event, Charlie is now looking for her next rider (once the abscess clears up of course!)
Well done to all riders whether it was your day or not, it’s the experience that counts
Thanks for the gorgeous photos from Hannah May Photography, Sarah Walker Photography, and CDJ photos 😍 and of course more to come!

Miss Secret completed her second event (third?) with minimal rides beforehand and was a star
Calm dressage for mid 60s, a clear SJ, and just one baby stop at a very scary blue ski ramp early in XC but represented with no trouble after a quick sniff (and happily jumped the other blue jumps on course too!)
Finishing off midfield, she stood happily in the yards all day, and was happy to head off on her own when it was her turn
Warm up rings are still quite exciting for her but she held it together and was a star for her actual rounds
Secret is looking for her next rider, looking for a calm capable rider, so if you want a true allrounder you can jump on after weeks off and go for a trail or try a bit of anything with she’s your girl
Thank you Golden Horseshoe Photography for the snaps!

A nice run around STEC champs with the two baby mares, no podium finishes but happy with the girls performances considering the lack of prep, now to lock in with Charlie for Trails then this girl will be looking for her next rider 🥺

Wishing all my lovely followers, friends, clients, and all their ponies a wonderful holiday season and new year!
It hasn’t been a massive year for horse sales, but always ticking along and hopefully setting up for bigger and better things to come, it is so wonderful to have a community of supporters who I can count on around me
Hope you all eat too much good food, have wonderful days off to ride your ponies, and get all the new horse gear you asked for on Christmas 🤶
Lots of love, Anika and the OTTBs

The new face made an appearance out and about
Rupert has been ticking away putting weight on in the paddock and doing some little rides at home, and now has done his first pony club rally!
First time XC and didn’t blink at any of the jumps, too easy for him with those long legs 😂
Working through some seperation anxiety, but getting better and better every ride
Thank you Eva and Meagan for the photos!

Little Secret came out to her second competition and tried very hard, unfortunately ended the day as a combined training instead of a one day event but sometimes it’s just not the day!
A solid dressage test, some wobbly moments but overall much improved from Quercus especially in the warm up!
Showjumping she was a little pocket rocket, one baby pole but no hesitations and really started to jump
A long wait till cross country and a hectic warm up had Secret’s baby brain a bit too overwhelmed and not thinking about the jumps at all so after a couple uncharacteristic spooky refusals I chose to retire to keep her confident for another day
Sometimes people ask me why I take young horses out so quickly in their training, but really I’m not taking them out competitively, it is all a training exercise! Some days go great and they step up to the occasion, and other days they don’t and we just end on a good note.
Secret will be doing a bit more training stepping out straight into the 65s, and more outings to keep the brain in gear!
