Honoured to Attend the 2026 International Dragon and Lion Dance Award Ceremony

We are proud to announce that Sifu Master James Leung and Johnny Leung will be attending the:

2026 First International Dragon and Lion Dance Award Ceremony

This special event brings together outstanding dragon and lion dance masters, teams, organisations and contributors from around the world to celebrate the achievements, culture and future of the dragon and lion dance community.

For Australian Yau Kung Mun, it is an honour to be part of this international gathering and to continue representing Australia, Chinese martial arts, lion dance culture and our family lineage on the global stage.

🦁 A special visit to Rawang Xuan Long 🇲🇾🇦🇺

On our journey back south from Kampar towards Kuala Lumpur, we were fortunate to have the opportunity to make a detour and visit our friends at Rawang Xuan Long.

Thank you to Ray and the team for the warm welcome and wonderful hospitality. It was great to visit your training space, exchange ideas, talk about lion dance, and spend time together before our next competition.

One of the best parts of travelling for lion dance is meeting other teams who share the same passion, discipline and respect for the art.

We may be friends off the competition floor, but in August our teams will be competing against each other!

Thank you again, Ray, for being such a great host.

We look forward to seeing everyone again in August.

Before heading to Muar for our international lion dance competition, our Australian Yau Kung Mun team is travelling to Kampar to experience the 106th Anniversary Cultural Procession of Kampar Kam Sen Temple.

This is a valuable opportunity for our team to experience local culture, connect with the Malaysian lion dance community and take part in the celebrations before competition.

We are grateful for the warm welcome and excited for the journey ahead.

We are now at the airport and ready to begin our journey to Muar, Johor, for the Karnival Tarian Singa Bandar Diraja Johor《皇城舞狮嘉年华》.

This journey represents months of training, discipline, teamwork and preparation.
