Nobody will call you out for not riding in the rain. If it starts raining when you're on the bike, a few tips to keep upright on the road!
1. Stay relaxed and keep a larger gap between yourself and traffic for extra time to react to hazards. Heavy rain will decrease visibility drastically. If you can't see, drivers definitely can't see you.
2. Painted lines and manhole covers are finna be slippy as, make sure to avoid them in the middle of a corner. If you're forced to ride over one, stay calm, no sudden movements. Motorcycle tires have more traction in the rain than you think! The only factor making them slip is shaky input from the rider. Stay calm and approach corners gently and steadily.
NEVER USE YOUR REAR BRAKE IN A CORNER.
3. Leave extra braking room and be smooth on the front brakes to avoid a lock-up. Use your rear brake more when braking in a straight line to reduce the chances of a front brake lock-up. If your rear brake locks up, stay calm, and let go of the rear brake to regain control and continue coming to a stop. Your right leg will be your abs.
NEVER USE YOUR REAR BRAKE IN A CORNER.
