Watch what he does on return:

✅ Moves forward before the opponent contacts the ball
✅ Split steps to stay balanced and reactive
✅ Lands on the inside foot (opposite foot) to load
✅ Pushes out to the outside foot closest to the ball
✅ Uses his momentum moving forward with a short backswing to take time away from the server
✅ Recovers quickly with a crossover step to get back into position for the next shot

A lot of players miss returns because they stay too passive, swing too big, or move backwards.

Great returners move through the ball, stay compact, and use their footwork to create balance and timing.
