Some dancers practicing for the wildlife carnival. (No... John is still not teaching dance on KI.) There is a lt of talent going into the Carnival again. I bought John a farmlet down at Brownlow. We still haven't decided what to do with the Dance school. We will still be there for a while yet. I had planned to hold a ball during the winter but covid and my health keep getting in the way. Strict rules on people huffing and puffing together. A number of dance schools around the world are struggling financially from the covid restrictions. We were lucky to not be one of them. Some of the academies John had been with in the USA have had trouble surviving the financial losses that supported their use of facilities etc. Dance has always been a struggling art form with so much to offer. I hope the art makes a comeback after covid. Jeff B.

While I would love to explain to our students and their families why the dance school is not offering classes, it would likely cause further harm to the community than has already been done by the few that have led to the decision not to continue teaching dance at this time. John continues his work with youth with disabilities, and I continue, where health permits, with my charitable endeavors. We wish the island's dancers all the best with the new dance teacher, and wish her every success. We are certain she will have fewer troubles to contend with. We have thoroughly enjoyed our dancers and providing a quality dance school for them, and will miss our time with them. We are still in discussions as to what will happen eventually with the building, and the ACNC registered charity Kangaroo Island Dance School's Dance Group (KIDS DG), which has bought much joy to the community. I suspect it will continue, as it seems John is still choreographing for, and performing at, charitable events. As John would say, "Keep on Dancing!" Jeff B. (PS. John hasn't read this yet).

The dance school will remain closed until further notice. Be well and be safe.

While the school is creating protective policies, until further notice, the dance classes at the Penneshaw campus will be cancelled too. We look forward to things settling, when after school activities will resume, and we will notify people when dance will resume then. Take care and be well.

Monday 16/3/20. The dance school will be closed for the week to allow people to sort out their needs around the current pandemic. There is a sore throat going around that was shown to not be the Corona Virus, but it would add to the current confusion if locals were sharing these bugs too. We will work out something about fees and catch up classes later. Stay well, and wash your hands. (Jeff is a registered nurse, so he had to throw that one in) Johnny B.
