Osu, Finally home and have had time to reflect on the weekend just gone.

Congratulations to all competitors at the 49th Victorian Kyokushin Karate Championships.

A massive congratulations to my students who took to the mat again or for the first time. Im super proud of each and everyone one of you for stepping up and having a go no matter the outcome.

Outstanding results from our little dojo again with multiple students placing on the podium. I have had some awesome feedback from lots of different people throughout the organisation.

Kangaroo Island dojo took 9 competitors away this time which is the most we have ever had with a crew of 16 total from KI. Outstanding achievement.

I am looking forward to the year ahead with out sights set on the NSW state titles on 4 weeks.

A big Osu and congratulations again!

With all of these students stepping onto the mat for the first or second time everyone did an outstanding job and we should all be super proud of how they represented themselves, Kangaroo Island and their dojo on the weekend.

I can't wait to see what the next tournament holds for our students with some competing at the MKA National Championships in Sydney in 3 weeks, with some competing in the contact division for the first time.

Again a massive congratulations to everyone who entered the tournament from all Branches and Dojos. 🏆 Congratulations to those who came away with wins, but just as much respect goes to everyone who gave it their all. Stepping onto that mat takes courage—you’re all champions in our eyes!

Special thanks goes to Shihan Ron Jorgensen and the Portland/Warnambool Dojos for all their hard work putting the tournament together. It's a great experience for all involved.

A special thanks to the parents of the kids who take the time to travel with their children to such events.

Also a special Thankyou to Senpai Jamie from MKA Millicent Dojo for your support on the weekend.

Stay tuned for a write up on what has happened for our dojo and students throughout the year.

On to the next one.
