We are thrilled to announce that this Term 2 School Holidays, the NRL Game Development Team and the Titans NRLW team will be running a fun-filled Girls Only Clinic at Cudgen Hornets JRL!

✨ Cudgen U16s are trying there hand at a community event. The families are all cooking up some wholesome food for a winter night under the stars.

🥳There will be games and fun, so you can be guaranteed the kiddies will have the best time: think tug-a-war, relays etc. There will also be glow sticks and other goodies to purchase.

ROUND 8️⃣ WRAP

We did it…. We got through a busy few weeks with the best volunteers going around. Our canteen has been a buzz these last few weeks, the set up crew smashed it yesterday, and the parents showing up to time keep, score and ground manage, have been awesome! THANK YOU 🙌🏼

You now all get to enjoy away games next weekend for Round 9, then into school holidays 🤩

U13 Girls, U15 & U16 don’t forget you have catch up games on Saturday 4 July at Ballina 🏉

U6 to U12s, don’t forget DB Cup is on Saturday 18 July, the last weekend of school holidays 🏆

🚨Only registered Coaches, Trainers and Players are to be in the team/official areas. All other people are to remain behind the roped off areas.

🚨Stay well clear of the filming area in our Grandstand.

Round 7️⃣ Wrap Up

Another home game ticked off for the year. Once again rain made its presence but it didn’t ruin the day ✅

Back at home again next weekend for most of our teams 🏠

Not a lot of content captured this weekend, but the U10 Green v Byron Bay game was a highlight. Great defence and attack by both teams was on display. Some great future battles ahead for these two teams that was played with great sportsmanship too. Not surprising though with the Coaches leading by example for the players of these two teams.

This picture captured an injured Cudgen player, and the Byron player didn’t leave his side until assistance arrived, showing genuine care for his opponent 🙌🏼

And of course the ever present Jeff was on the way ⛑️

A message from our President

Dear Players and Supporters

As we hit the middle of our season we are sitting in a position of being firm competitors to play in the finals in all 4 grades. We have only got there thanks to your efforts both on the field as dedicated players and off the field as staunch supporters.

Our on-field performances have been often inspiring. Firstly our A grade drew with Mullum when reduced for part of the game to 11 players then last weekend our U/18’s defeated Ballina also playing part of the game with only 11 players.

The Hornets definitely have a strong competitive core and really put in for their mates.

The next two Sundays we have two home games that should be absolute crackers.

This week we take on Brothers - last year’s premiers in A Grade - followed the week after with a local derby V Tweed Seagulls. Let’s hope we get good weather and bumper crowds as the season begins to head into the business end.

Another reason for writing to you is to ask you to pull out all stops in promoting our major raffle for the season. With the drawing date fast approaching it would be great if all of you shared the attached flyer with as many people as you can.

Our target of raising $5000 is still a fair way off BUT if all of you can sell just 2 tickets in the next 2 weeks we should hit that target. This means we will be able to afford our new PA system.

The process of buying tickets on-line is dead easy - even I’ve been able to do it - twice!

We ask you all to get behind your club in a really practical way - share the flyer and help us reach our goal.

The raffle will be drawn at our home game V Tweed Seagulls - a little over a week away so don’t put it off!
