Sometimes pain is the body’s way of asking us to pay more attention…

For many people who we meet this looks like tightness, tension or discomfort in areas of the back or knees.

Paying more attention to the body when you experience these pains might look like slowing down, moving differently or reconnecting

Yoga offers much relief to these pains as the practice is not about forcing the body into shapes. Rather it is a practice where you learn to listen to the body, create support where it is needed and move in a way that helps the body feel safe, strong and capable again.

Yoga doesn’t begin when you step onto the mat, nor does it end when class is over…

We asked a few of BURN’S instructors how they embody yoga off the mat and their answers are a beautiful reminder that the practice is always available to us.

It can be the conscious breath you return to in moments of stress, a pause before reacting, the walk in nature that brings you back to yourself or noticing the beauty that exists within ordinary moments.

Welcome to BURN Heated Vinyasa

Practiced in a 32 degree infrared heated room, this class will guide you through a flow sequence that focusses on breath, balance and stretching.

Whilst often described as a moving meditation, this practice is so much more than stretching. Through the connection of breath and movement, you’ll build strength, flexibility and stability while creating space to reconnect with yourself.

The benefits don’t end when you step off the mat. Many students leave feeling lighter, clearer and more grounded, carrying that sense of calm and connection with them into the rest of their day.

If you knew only one breathwork tool, let it be this one to calm the mind and relieve stress.

The vibrations created by Bhramari Pranayama, or otherwise called ‘Humming Bee Breathe’, feel like a soothing, warm hug to the nervous system.
This breathwork practice will reduce anxiety whilst enhancing mental clarity.

How to practice:
1. Sit comfortably, eyes closed, focussing on your breath
2. Use Shanmukhi Mudra: thumbs closing ears, fingers gently covering eyes, nose and mouth
3. Breath in, creating a soft snoring sound
4. Exhale with a gentle hum, visualising the sound flowing through your Third Eye Chakra
Repeat 6-8 times and feel the shift within
