🏏 A-GRADE MATCH SUMMARY – CRUSADERS VS WARRIORS 🏏

Murgon Crusaders def. Wooroolin Warriors by 70 runs

The Crusaders have stormed back into form with a powerful all-round performance at home, handing the previously undefeated Warriors a rare loss in the one-day competition.

🟡MURGON CRUSADERS – 7/224

A classy top-order effort set the tone for Murgon:

⭐ Daniel Thompson – 60 (68)
A composed and confident knock, striking 7 fours and 2 sixes. Anchored the innings beautifully.

⭐ Riley Sippel – 43 (58)
Clean striking with eight boundaries, kept the scoreboard ticking over.

⭐ Byron Kratzmann – 35 (29)
Explosive in the middle overs, belting 5 fours and 1 six.

Other contributors:
• Tom Patton – 23 (16) with a handy late burst
• Ashley Sippel – 18 (24)
• Ryan Jacobs & Will Webber – both finished unbeaten on 6*

The Crusaders’ innings pushed to a strong 224 thanks to partnerships at the top and clutch finishing at the end.

The Warriors never quite got going, but a couple of standout efforts kept them in the hunt:

A lone-wolf masterclass. 11 fours, 2 sixes, fought hard the entire innings.

⭐ Kieran Askin – 30 (37)
Counter-punched well but couldn’t find the big partnership the Warriors needed.

Other contributions were limited as Murgon applied constant pressure.

🎯 CRUSADERS BOWLING HIGHLIGHTS

A brilliant team bowling effort restricted the Warriors throughout:

Deadly late spell, shut the door completely.

A massive confidence boost for Murgon as they claim a big scalp, while the Warriors will regroup after their first stumble of the one-day season.

🏏 SBCA Junior Cricket – Stage 2 & Stage 3 Round Summary

A great weekend for junior cricket across the South Burnett with big scores, tight finishes, and some seriously impressive young talent coming through.

🔶 SBCA Stage 3 – Round 6

🦂 Nanango Scorpions Stage 3 def. Murgon Stage 3 by 5 wickets

Murgon Stage 3 posted 7/91, fighting hard to build a defendable total.
But Nanango Scorpions Stage 3 were too strong, finishing 5/138 in a confident run chase.

Nanango continued their club-wide momentum with another solid all-round performance — composed batting, steady partnerships, and controlled bowling early in the day set the platform.

Nanango Scorpions Stage 3: 5/138

Result: Nanango Scorpions won by 5 wickets

Nanango remain one of the most consistent junior sides this season.

🟣 Ngo Scorpions Stage 2 Purple def. Murgon Stage 2

In a high-scoring T20 showdown, Ngo Scorpions Stage 2 Purple finished on a massive 0/157, a brilliant batting effort with no wickets lost.

Murgon Stage 2 fought strongly to 0/139, keeping all wickets intact but falling short by 18 runs.

Murgon Stage 2: 0/139

Another strong showing from the Nanango junior system — loads of runs and disciplined batting.

A dominant performance from the Kookaburras, chasing down 108 without losing a wicket and posting 0/134.

The Kookas were clinical — sharp bowling to restrict the Cobras, followed by an outstanding opening stand to seal the game in style.
