Walking Football is on TONIGHT, and it’s our final session before we take a few weeks off! ❤️🖤

So if you’ve been meaning to come along, tonight is the perfect chance to join us for one more night of football, laughs and great company before we return on Tuesday, 13 October.

A little off-field shoutout to two of our men’s players, Dom and Brax, who enjoyed their formal on Friday night — and we have to say, they clean up pretty well! 😎👏

Congratulations, lads! You’re almost at the finish line of Year 12 and what a milestone to be celebrating.

🏆⚽ SOUTH BURNETT WOMEN’S PLAYER OF THE YEAR ⚽🏆

A huge congratulations to Kingaroy West’s Anna Logan, our 2026 South Burnett Women’s Player of the Year! 👏❤️

This award is determined across the entire season and all teams, with opposition coaches awarding Best & Fairest points after each game. To finish the year with the most points is a fantastic recognition of the consistency, effort and quality she has brought to the field week after week.

And what a season it has been! Between being a working mum of two and an absolute soccer star, Anna somehow still regularly found enough energy to back up for the second game as well — apparently it was “good for the fitness”! 😂⚽💪

As always, she has had a fantastic year and thoroughly earned this recognition.
In her acceptance speech, Anna also made a point of thanking the many volunteers who made the women’s competition possible, recognising the huge amount of work that happens behind the scenes each week to get everyone onto the field. ❤️

Congratulations, Anna — an outstanding achievement and a brilliant season! 🏆👏

🏆⚽ JUNIOR REFEREE OF THE YEAR ⚽🏆

A huge congratulations to Dane Hampton, who has been named Junior Referee of the Year for the South Burnett Women’s Competition! 👏

Throughout the season, Dane has done a fantastic job as an Assistant Referee, showing confidence, commitment and a willingness to keep learning each week.

It is great to see young referees getting involved in the game, and even better to see that effort recognised.

🏆 WOMEN’S GRAND FINAL – RUNNERS UP ❤️

Our Kingaroy Wests women have finished the 2026 season as Grand Final Runners Up, going down 4–0 to Barambah in last night’s decider.

Barambah came out strongly and were deserving winners on the night. Our Wests ladies continued to work hard and put in a determined effort right through to the final whistle, but unfortunately we just couldn’t clear that last hurdle.

A big congratulations to Barambah on taking out the Grand Final. 👏⚽

We also want to say a massive thank you to our local community, who turned out in droves to support the ladies and created a fantastic atmosphere for our local Grand Final. Seeing so many people on the sidelines backing women’s football in the South Burnett was something very special.

We were also absolutely overwhelmed by the support for our canteen — thank you to everyone who purchased food and drinks and supported the club throughout the night. ❤️🖤

To our committee and volunteers, thank you for the huge amount of work that went into making the night possible, from setting up and running the canteen to all the jobs behind the scenes that keep a Grand Final running smoothly.

And to all of the players, thank you for giving it everything on the field and helping make the Grand Final such a great night of local women’s football.

Our Kingaroy Senior Soccer Club Division 1 Men with their Football Queensland Darling Downs Community Senior Team of the Year trophy. ⚽👏

A fantastic recognition for a group that showed huge commitment throughout the season and represented Kingaroy with pride.

We’re already looking ahead to 2027 👀

⚽ O WHAT A NIGHT! ⚽

Walking Football was blessed with great weather and plenty of enthusiasm again last night, with almost 20 players taking to the field! 🙌

Once again, there was plenty of skill, laughs and great sportsmanship on display. A huge thank you to everyone who came along, joined in and helped make the night another great success. ❤️⚽

🗓️ Next week is our final Walking Football night for this block before we take a short break over the school holidays.

After next week, we’ll be back on Tuesday 13 October ready to get walking again!

⚽ KINGAROY SOCIAL SEVENS – TEAM NOMINATIONS NOW OPEN! ⚽

Already got your team organised for Social Sevens? You can now complete the Team Nomination Form below and email it to [email protected]. If you need a copy of the form, just send us an email and we’ll send one through 📧

If you don’t have a full team yet, but you have a group of players who definitely want to play together, we recommend submitting a team list with those names included. We’ll keep your group together when teams are finalised.

If you’re an individual player without a team, there is no need to email us — you’ll be placed into a team once nominations are finalised.

🗓️ Team nominations are due by 7 October

A quick reminder of the 2026 Social Sevens details:
* Juniors: ages 10–14 — $65 per player
* Seniors: ages 15+ — $85 per player
* Games will be played on Wednesday afternoons/evenings
* Season runs from 14 October to 9 December 2026
* Mixed teams welcome
* Shin pads are required

🔴 IMPORTANT: Every single player must complete their individual registration through Squadi before playing. Submitting a team nomination form does not replace Squadi registration.

⚠️ No Squadi registration = no play.
