Round 10 - 13.06.2026
Reserve Grade Player of the Match - Tyson Robertson

Tyson Robertson controlled the match from the centre of midfield in Reserve Grade’s 3-0 victory over Kariong, producing an outstanding display in his first full game back from injury. His work rate, composure on the ball and ability to dictate play were key factors in the Roos’ dominance throughout the game. It was an impressive performance and a welcome return to full fitness for an important member of the squad.

Round 10 - 13.06.2026
First Grade Player of the Match: Morris Vegter
Morris Vegter had another commanding performance for First Grade, producing a disciplined and determined defensive display in the Roos’ hard-fought 1-1 draw in their Round 10 game against Kariong on Saturday night. Strong in the air, composed in possession and relentless in his defensive work, Morris consistently nullified attacking threats and played a key role in maintaining the team’s structure throughout the match.

Match Report - Round 10 v Kariong

The Roos Mens Div 1 teams made the trip to Kariong on Saturday night and returned home with four valuable competition points.

Reserve Grade recorded a deserved 3-0 victory which helped cement third place on the table. The Roos controlled possession early and were rewarded when Ryan Burke opened the scoring with a quality finish. From that point, the Roos took control of the contest, playing some excellent football between the lines and creating a number of chances. Jack Devlin led the attacking line superbly and doubled the advantage shortly after half time, before substitute Archie McCabe put the result beyond doubt with an excellent strike to cap off a strong team performance.

In First Grade, the Roos were held to a 1-1 draw in a high-tempo encounter. Kariong relied heavily on a direct style of play, while the Roos looked to control possession and create opportunities through structured build-up. Despite enjoying the better of the first half, the Roos found themselves behind against the run of play after Kariong scored just before the break. The boys responded well in the second half and were rewarded when Dylan Booth finished clinically to level the scores mid-way through the second half. The Roos continued to create the better chances and were the stronger side for much of the second half, but were unable to find a winning goal despite a spirited performance.

Match Report - Round 9
KRFC v Woy Woy

The Roos Mens Div 1 team put in a strong shift against Woy Woy to come away with wins in both grades at Austin Butler Oval on Sunday.

Reserve Grade dominated from start to finish with a commanding 9-0 victory. Classy finishing, a solid team performance, and the professionalism to see the game out strongly, despite being reduced to 10 men for the final 30 minutes, all highlight the excellent progress this team is making. Key performers included player/coach Scott Peterson, who saved a first-half penalty, and midfielder Tyson Stevens, who produced an excellent all-round display, dominating the midfield, scoring a goal, and finishing the game in central defence after the team reshuffle following the send-off.

In First Grade, after a strong opening where the Roos could have scored one or two early goals, they fell a goal behind against the run of play following a quality Woy Woy counter attack. In the second half, the Roos were relentless in attack and were rewarded with a crucial equaliser in the 57th minute, before finding the winner with 10 minutes to go to seal a 2-1 victory. Standout performances came from Kaden Sakovits, who produced outstanding saves after being called up to First Grade, Dylan Booth and Kevin Robertson causing a constant threat in the attacking third, along with strong defensive displays from Morris Vegter and Lachlan Murray, who scored the winner.
