It's Thursday night.
It is four days into the week and you're probably thinking, have I don't enough, the weekend is approaching, have I eaten the best I could have, what events do I have this weekend...the list goes on.
You know that inner dialogue you have with yourself when you've set intentions for the week to really dial it in and you feel like you've already failed so you're contemplating just ridding off the week and starting again next week?
Setting intentions for the week can sometimes be derailed because you're either:
1. Not in a good routine,
2. Don't have the best mindset;
3. Don't have the discipline;
4. Haven't planned ahead; and/or
5. Have minimal accountability
It is really challenging to change what feels like ground hog day when you're not taking any action to break the cycle you're in.
The typical solution most people come up with in their minds is, I'll start Monday and we all know, Monday rolls around and the week just plays out in the same manner in does every other week.
I highly encourage you to start now and make a small change, and work through the process at a steady rate that's sustainable for the long term.
Start tonight with dinner by only eating to 80% fullness. Make a healthy choice irrespective of what you've eaten prior to now and stop yourself from driving through that drive thru thinking I'll start Monday as an excuse and it's raining so time to snuggle in, and enjoy some comfort food.
If you feel like week after week you've "failed" yourself and you're ready to break the cycle, I'd highly recommend you join a group of like-minded people who are trying to achieve the same goals and/or a coach.
If you need your own accountability, DM me the word me. I'd love to hear where you're at and navigate how I can help you. I've been there too.
