City V Country at Goomeri
So, with Jacko's day out of the road on the Saturday, Sunday saw some diehard guys travel to Goomeri for the inaugural City V Country Golf Day. A combined Goomeri/Kilkivan team took on the Guys and Girls from Gunabul Par 3 Golf Club Inc. Both sides arrived with high expectations of taking home the trophy. The weather was fine when teams hit off and warmed up as the day wore on. Great golf was played by both teams with good scored handed in. The overall winner on the day was Sam Francise from Gunabul with 40 Stableford points, however the trophy scores could not be split, both teams shared the points. A great day, thanks to Goomeri Golf Club for hosting the day and thanks to the cook and staff for a fine feed.

Legends day done and dusted.
Kilkivan legend couple Helen and Ash Hewson, were farewelled from the Kilkivan Country Club on Saturday. A great crowd of golfers and bowlers came to say See Ya and played a 9-hole competition at the Country Club. This was followed by 10 ends of bowls at the Kilkivan Bowls Club. The Bowls Club provided a fantastic feed and Ash and Helen were presented with a farewell gift. The Hewson's are moving a little south of here and have threatened to visit on occasions. YOUR WELCOME ANYTIME. Thanks to Deb from the bowls club for manning the bar at the golf club and the Ladies and Warren at the bowls club. Many thanks. A good time had by all.

Well, another year's end is nearly here, and all our major competitions have been completed. The President (Charlie) would like to thank everyone for their help and support throughout the year. Those who maintained the course and equipment all year, the committee past and present for their dedicated efforts, those from the community who assisted with catering and support to functions. We had Presidents Day
and trophy presentation
and played a two person Ambrose even tho it was a tad warm we all enjoyed ourselves and after a delicious bbq thanks to Brian's family.
