Word to the wise..... Be very careful whom you book a knife course with. It may be fun, it may be "cool"" but in all honesty the level of "maker" out there can be quite atrocious and there is ZERO regulations for taking your money and "teaching you to make a knife". Whilst here are some very talented maker such as Paul Arestan, Keith Fludder and one or two others come to mind who most certainly more than have the skill, talent and exprience to walk you through making a blade in a day. Teach you to.... no. Have a cracker of a day, learn some cool tricks and maybe develop a life long love and addiction to learning FOR SURE! Make an AMAZING blade that will serve you for the rest of your life ABSOLUTELY. Walking away from a 2 day knife course and then starting to teach course's yourself is the exact sort of scammy sh*te punters need to look out for. Just be aware. I've been asked/emailed some disturbing questions about "courses popping up" lately, seems the scammy sh*te is about. Anyone skilled enough and respectful of your time and money will be more than happy to show you a history of sales or a catalogue of work. Do not settle for excuses or "reasons". If in doubt after all that, by all means ask them if you can chat to a former customer, they should have at least one that is more than happy to be contacted, if not......well that says it all really. We DO NOT do courses, so this is not an ad. Please do not contact us about classes or course, we are just not setup for it. This is merely a heads up. Now.... here is a bear on a bike to lighten the mood. Have a good one folks.
