Nature guiding our learning 💚

A roadside rescue turned into a week of wonder, as we helped an Eastern Long-Necked turtle find a new home in the frog ponds the kids had created. The kids loved the shared learning experiences focused on these beautiful reptiles.

As we step into a new year, we’ve been reflecting on our first full year of Grounded with so much gratitude.

This year was filled with real experiences, muddy boots, creative hands, growing friendships, and children trusted with meaningful work and play. It was a year of connection, community, and learning that unfolded naturally through the rhythms of real life.

At its heart, Grounded is about connection and supporting children to feel capable, trusted, and deeply connected to the world around them.

We are extremely grateful for the love and support that has surrounded Grounded this past year, especially from the families who have enrolled, and from the wider community who follows, encourages, and believes in a childhood shaped by nature and connection.

Thank you for being part of the journey. 🌿

Owners Shanae and Steve have a love of all things nature and exploration. Having travelled Australia in a caravan for over a year with their young family, they know all about adventure. Grounded Education is the result of a mutual passion to provide more opportunities for kids to learn in nature, from nature.

Shanae and Steve are both fully trained and accredited Primary teachers with more than 20 years of combined teaching experience. As parents themselves they know how vital play is in childhood especially in the first 7 years of life.

Shanae and Steve believe that wonder, creativity and fun is often lost in this day and age, and they are excited to offer an opportunity to use the extraordinary power of nature to inspire wonder, curiosity and imagination.

Bookings are now OPEN for the remainder of term 3 for those who registered with an expression of interest form. Bookings will go live for everyone else Monday night!

We are running 2 programs out of Cascade Falls for the remainder of Term 3, Nature playgroup and Bush Kindy.

It’s a great way to come and see what Grounded is all about before we really kick things off in Term 4.

We can’t wait to get messy and explore with you all soon! Be sure to tag your friends.
