See the below days and times for the Club Umpire Support Program AFL Goulburn Murray is offering!

Hope to see you there 😀

Club umpires play an invaluable service to local clubs in our region.

Following feedback from clubs last season for more structured education for club umpires, AFL Goulburn Murray in partnership with AFL Victoria will this year provide support to these umpires by providing education to help ensure an enjoyable match day experience for all players, umpires & supporters.

Covering topics of Match Management, Law interpretation, Game administration responsibilities & the role of an umpire.
This program will be a season long program with follow up communication with club umpires who register.

The initial in person session will be held in three venues across the GM Region.
- Echuca (CVGT, 216 Darling St) – 11th March 6.00pm. – Registration by Friday 7th March
- Kialla Rec Reserve – 12th March 6.00pm. - Registration by Friday 7th March
- Seymour (TBC) – 25th March 6.00pm. Registration by Friday 21st March
Each session will go for 1hr.

We encourage club umpires across all grades to attend.

The summit focuses on leadership, development, and innovation within the Goulburn Murray Region. Its goal is to gather leaders from affiliated leagues and clubs to discuss trends, challenges, and opportunities in community football and netball.

The AFL Goulburn Murray office will close from today. They will re-open on Monday 13 January 2025.

We’re excited to invite you to participate in our one-night AFL Nines Competition—a fantastic opportunity to participate in a fast, fun, and social version of Australian Rules Football! This inclusive competition welcomes all levels of experience and skill.

Competition Details:
Date: Friday, December 6th
Location: Kialla Reserve, Kialla
Time: 5pm-7:30pm
Field Sizes: Smaller rectangular fields ( maximum 100m x 50m)
Team Sizes: 9 players a side (up to 15 per team with rotating subs)
Cost: FREE
