Well that’s it for another year! I sincerely hope you all enjoyed your training this year and that you have taken at least some of the stuff that me and the Sempai have taught you this year and can call on it when you need it💪⛩😉
I want to give a massive thank you to our head Sempai Mark and Louise Stevens. Without their help our club just wouldn’t run. When I am too work busy or ill they have stood up to the plate for me and ask for nothing of the club in return - which is the definition of selfless honour, which our club prides itself on. I also want to send a big thank to our other Sempai in Jesse, Vince and Dylan for their help and input this year, it has not gone unnoticed or unappreciated. Jesse is fast becoming a very talented teacher and mentor.
Our club is not and never will be one voice. Learning for our students will always come from all of us above Shodan, not just me, and I know that you appreciate the broad spectrum learning that you receive from us as students of Goju ryu.
I want everyone to know that I appreciate your feedback and suggestions as it gives me feedback that you are interested in your learning. ….which is what I’m doing this for!,
Have an awesome Christmas and happy New Year we will resume training on Wednesday 8th February.  I Love to you all❤️🥋

It’s a sad day today.
Sensei Wal has decided his time with us is at an end. We wish him all the best and remind him he is always welcome in our club in any way shape or form. Best of luck to a good friend and teacher.

Hello GV GojuRyu team.
Just a reminder that we have a grading on this Saturday morning at 10 am.
The people grading this time are David for his junior Shodan Yay!😃🥳 Anoushka for Brown belt, Billy for a brown stripe and Toby for a green belt. And a couple of kids might get a stripe on their yellow belts this week if their lucky.
Please if you’re not on this list it just means you need a little more time to reach the requirements of the grade you’re going for. (Or you haven’t been turning up to training enough.)
Everyone is invited to come and watch. For those of you who haven’t seen a Formal grading it is a good idea to come and watch. And after the grading we will have a couple of drinks and.a bbq lunch.
Those that are grading - you need to concentrate and train hard this week.
