Thanks to Jen, Michael, Christian and amazing team coach Coco Lococo for representing the Melbourne Mavericks inaugural Masters 50+ MLPA pro league team. What a great weekend of pickleball! There were many close matches and even though we didn’t win, we all fought hard and did our best under some tricky conditions. It was a privilege to be the captain of this team for 2024.

Thanks also to my 50+ women’s doubles partner Naomi for playing with me and enabling us to win the gold medal.

Thanks also to my 50+ mixed doubles partner Michael for all the training and practice leading up to the event. We nearly had the gold with 2 match points but it wasn’t to be. Congratulations to Naomi and Ivan for taking out the gold medal.

The wait is finally over! The permit for Kingston Pickleball (indoor) Centre in Chelsea Heights has now been approved. The centre will focus primarily on professional coaching programs for all levels and abilities and offer social play and court hire.

Was great to catch up with the new Melbourne Mavericks Masters 50+ pro team at the Gold Coast PPA event. Had a blast with plenty of laughs!

Thanks to the MLPA Asia Aces .australia for selecting me as the alternate for Jamie Haas. We nearly got there!

Thanks to Naomi Amakawa for partnering me in the masters gender doubles. Our first time playing together and it was a pleasure playing with you and grabbing a gold medal along the way.

Thanks as always to Michael Frisby for partnering me in the masters mixed doubles event. We almost had the gold but wasn’t to be this time. Well done to Anna-Lise Bolton and Tony Field for being too good on the day.
