Congratulations to Year 10 players Reece Lanciano and Zac Woolley on reaching the outstanding milestone of 100 games with the Belmont Bombers.

Playing 100 junior football games is a remarkable achievement and reflects years of dedication, commitment, teamwork and passion for our club. From their early days in junior football through to Year 10, both boys have proudly represented Belmont and have been valued members of the Bombers family every step of the way.

Congratulations to Year 11/12 player Hunter Hartley who recently played his 100th game for the Club.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible mums, grandmothers, step mums and mother figures across the Belmont Junior Football Club community.

Thank you for the early mornings, endless washing, canteen shifts, team manager duties, transport runs, sideline support and everything in between. Junior football simply doesn’t happen without the time, care and commitment you give to our kids and our Club every single week.

Today we celebrate and thank you for the role you play in helping create a positive, supportive and fun environment for all of our players.

We hope you all have a fantastic Mother’s Day surrounded by family and plenty of football memories.

This weekend across junior football we celebrate “Umpire Appreciation Round” — an opportunity to recognise the incredible contribution our umpires make to the game every single week.

We appreciate all junior umpires, who step up to learn the game, build confidence, develop leadership skills and help make football possible for hundreds of kids each weekend.

Umpiring isn’t always easy. It takes courage, resilience and commitment — particularly for our young umpires who are still learning and developing just like the players are.

We ask all players, coaches, officials and spectators this weekend to show our umpires the respect they deserve:
• Support them
• Encourage them
• Thank them
• Let them learn

Without umpires, there is no game.

To all of our Belmont junior umpires — thank you for your effort, your passion and your willingness to be involved in our great game. We appreciate everything you do for the Club and junior football.

One Club. One Team. Respect the Game.

Glenny - Life Member Day.

As part of the annual Belmont JFC Glenny Family / Life Member Day, the club was proud to induct a new Life Member — Chris Whitley.

Chris’ journey with Belmont JFC began in 1995 in Freeball (now Auskick), progressing through to 2007 before moving into senior football in 2008. Over that time, he played over 160 junior games with BJFC, regularly stepping up to play higher grades when needed.

Coached by his father Mark (also a Club Life Member) for over a decade, his junior career included three Grand Final appearances and premierships in 2004 and 2005.

His individual honours include multiple Best & Fairest awards, Best Clubman, Player of Finals and Best on Ground in a Grand Final, along with selection in the Perth Demons Development Squad.

Following his junior career, the Club introduced a Life Membership threshold for players reaching 150 games, and Belmont JFC is proud to award this recognition to Chris retrospectively.

From our Year 4s hitting the field with great energy and enthusiasm, to our Year 7s stepping up onto the big field for the first time and coming away with a strong win — it was a day full of effort amd teamwork.

Our Year 8s continued their strong form, sticking to the game plan and applying pressure right until the final siren to secure a convincing win.

Across all grades, it was fantastic to see sportsmanship on display, with teams showing respect during the ANZAC Round and competing with determination all day.
