100 sessions 🤍✨
A consistent 6AM regular, a super mum, and a reminder that you can make time for yourself — even amongst the busy seasons of life.
We asked Miranda to reflect on her journey from her first session to now, and here’s what she has to say!
1. “What made you take that first step into BFT, and what kept you coming back?”
I was looking to commit to a regular exercise routine after dealing with some persistent health issues and injuries. I’ve previously enjoyed HIIT style workouts but knew that I really needed to work on my strength too. The variety that BFT offers (and not knowing what’s in store for you each session until you turn up!) along with the Kew location being so close to my home was the perfect option. I keep coming back because I’m addicted to how good I feel for the rest of the day after I’ve done a workout in the morning!
2. “Looking back at your first session compared to now, what’s something you’re most proud of?”
I signed up for a founding membership well before BFT Kew opened and was so excited to start, but the closer it got to opening day, the more nervous I felt - I remember almost canceling that first session! However, I also knew that I had to really commit to booking in and turning up on a regular basis in order to successfully build it into my routine. I think I’m most proud of my consistency, no matter what life is throwing at me outside of the gym.
3. “What does being part of this community mean to you?”
I have a quiet personality, so when I joined, I fully expected to just put my head down, do my workout, and leave. Instead, due to the nature of BFT in getting partnered or grouped with others on an exercise, I have gradually gotten to know more of my fellow BFTers. Everyone I’ve met (fellow BFTers and coaches alike) has been friendly, supportive and judgement free, and it’s lovely having a community of like-minded people offering a smile, a chat or a fist bump each session.
A special shoutout to Emily, Inga and Ebony, who all motivate me, keep me smiling, and help to keep me accountable. Being part of this community has definitely made working towards my own goals a lot easier!
