It’s going to be a FREE fun day packed to the brim with a range of accessible sports and activities to experience and try.

🏀 1:30pm – Wheelchair Basketball Come and Try with Disability Sport and Recreation

This Sunday join us at Boroondara Sports Complex for a FREE day of accessible sport at the International Day of People with Disability Celebration Event🎈

There will be all kinds of wheelchair sports activities on offer from Disability Sport and Recreation, AFL Victoria, as well as come and try activities from Blind Sports & Recreation Victoria.

All are welcome, especially anyone with a disability wanting to try a variety of accessible sports, meet new friends, and have fun!

Access keys and BindiMaps can be used at Boroondara Sports Complex to audibly describe where users are, what’s around them, and the best way to move around the facility.

On Sunday 11 December, join us at Boroondara Sports Complex for a FREE fun day of accessible sport at the International Day of People with Disability Celebration Event

From 11am – 3pm, there will be a range of wheelchair sports activities with Disability Sport and Recreation, AFL Victoria and come and try activities from Blind Sport and Recreation!

Plus! A BBQ will be available with proceeds going to support young people to gain access to programs and services at the Y.

The new Kew Recreation Centre (KRC) will feature stadium/court hire, aquatic lane hire and spaces for local community groups and clubs.

YMCA Victoria is running an Expression of Interest (EOI) process for booking the new spaces from 18 July 2022 to 20 November 2022.

Our EOI process helps ensure a fair and transparent process to register your interest in facility hire while the new KRC is under construction.

This beautiful, inclusive and exciting design was created to provide endless entertainment for those of all ages and abilities.

We want to apologise for any confusion caused yesterday with our social media post stating that we were welcoming people back to our centre.

Obviously once our wonderful centre has been redeveloped we will be able to do that but for the moment it remains closed.

However, our wonderful sister centres such as Hawthorn, BSC and Ashburton are currently open and taking bookings for a number of services.
