Monday Kings Birthday Stableford 8th June 2026

A small group played Stableford today. The winner was David Wood with 33 points. Ball pool went to Taylor Hudson 32, Brian Gibson, Wayne O’Neill 31.

Ladies Wednesday Stableford 10th June, 2026

Nola Robinson won the day with 36 points. Ball Pool went to Ange Morton 33, Jill Marshall 32, Jan Harry, Jan Milne both 31. NTP’s went to Chino’s 9th Ange Morton, 13th Ange Giouzellis.

Thursday R & R Stableford 11th June 2026

The day’s winner was David Wood with 33 points. Ball Pool went to Taylor Hudson 32 and Brian Gibson 31 c/b. NTP’s went to Shane Dibsdale 3rd/16th, 5th Lindsay Hogg, 9th Wayne O’Niell, 13th Chris Waterson.

Saturday Greenwood Mugge 13th June 2026

A total of 21 members played under threatening skies for the Mugge. Then lady’s winner was Jean Youl with 36 points. The Men’s winner was Spud McKerrow with 36 points on a c/b from Brian Gibson.
Others in the Ball Pool were Scott Harry 35, Shane Dibsdale 34, Greg McNeil 33. Pen Award went to Peter Jones. NTP’s went to Ron Delamare 3rd, Blake Shay 5th and John Pay 13th.

Our pennant side unfortunately went down to MD’s 4/3 today and sadly we just missed the opportunity to play in the final next week 🙂‍↔️

Wednesday Ladies 3rd June 2026

7 strong women fronted to play their Monthly Medal on Wednesday and the weather 🌧️🌬️☔️ was the deciding factor for the ladies to play their competition off the Red Tees👏👏
The day’s winner was Jan Harry (1) 74 nett, Carol Dear (14) 74 nett and Jan Milne (22) 79 nett.

Thursday R & R Stableford 4th June 2026

28 entries today another good field. Wayne O’Neill was the winner with 35 points. Ball Pool went to Kevin Lane 33, David Knight 31, Graham Wyte, Shane Dibsdale, Allan Free all 28.
NTP’s went to Jean Youl the 9th and Micheal O’Rielly 13th.

Saturday Monthly Medal 6th June 2026

A field of 38 entered today with the winners being, for the women ~Jean Youl with 96-18=78 nett.
Men’s winner was Hudson Taylor 92-24=68.
Ball Pool went to Rhys Kings, Lincoln Taylor 71 nett, Wayne O’Niell, Kevin Sambrooks, Chris Gray 73 nett, Barry Gladman, John Pay, David Wood 74 nett. NTP’s went to Jenny Waterson 3rd, David Wood 5th, Alan Free 9th and Doug Meehan 13th.

No pennant this week, team heads to Barham next Sunday for the last round before the final. We are currently sitting 2nd so good luck 🤞 team Kerang.

Golf news from the week

Ladies Stableford 27th May 2026

It was a very quiet day for the ladies with only 7 players.
The winner was Jan Harry with 33 points followed by Jan Milne and Liz Thynne on 31 and Joyce Boyd, Michelle Dillon and Megan Taylor on 29. NTP on the 9th Chino’s was won by Michelle Dillon.

Thursday R & R Stableford 28th May 2026

A good field of over 30 again this week. The winner was Luke Hadfield with 41 points. Ball Pool went to Brendan Shields, David Knight 35, Gary Service, Shane Dibsdale, Greg McNeil 34, Tony Laughlin, John Pay 33.
NTP’s went to Luke Hadfield 3rd, Chris Waterson 5th, T Stirling 9th, Doug Meehan 13th.

Saturday Par 30th May 2026

24 members played Par today with John Pay winning with +1. Ball Pool went to David Wood, Chris Waterson, Rhys Kings, Phil Lloyd, K McKerrow All Square.
Luke Hadfield Eagled the 11th. Pen award went to Peter Hall. NTP’s went to Phil Lloyd 3rd/13th, Jim Apostolelis 9th/16th, David Wood 5th.

Pennant was played at Deniliquin and our team played the host team, unfortunately they went down 4 1/2 - 2 1/2.
Bad luck hopefully we can rebound in a couple of weeks time.

Ladies Stableford 20th May 2026

Joyce Boyd was today’s winner with 34 points, Meagan Taylor 34, Liz Thynne 31. Liz won the 9th NTP. The winner of the 6-week Aggregate (best 4 scores) was Liz Thynne with 142 and runner -up was Michelle Dillon with 141.

Thursday R & R Stableford 21st May 2026

Stephen Phillips had a welcome return to form winning with 39 points. Ball Pool went to Gary Service, Gav Teasdale 34, Graeme Wyte, Ron Schultze, Tony Laughlin and Jack Hewitt 32. NTP’s went to Chris Waterson on the 3rd and 16th, Jack Hewitt 5th, Greg McNeil 13th.

Karyl hewitt was the Ladies winner with 44 points. Men’s winner was Barry Gladman with 36 c/b. Ball Pool went to Alan Free 36, David Wood 35, Jean Youl, Jan Harry Wayne O’Neill and Shirl Jenner all 34.

NTP’s went to Olive Spitty 3rd, Barry Gladman 5th, Kevin Lane 9th, Karyl Hewitt 13th, Blake Shay 16th.

Our pennant side had a fantastic win today(Sunday) 5/2 against Cohuna👏👏
The team is off to Deni next week to take on either MD’s or Deni🤷‍♀️🙃 Good luck and keep up the solid work 👌

We opened the doors to the new part of the clubhouse this evening and the members were most delighted with the result.
A great number of members came out to walk through and see for the first time what has been transforming over the past 12 months.
The result is fantastic, still some finishing touches to happen but our new bathrooms are open for business 😅

Wednesday Ladies Stableford 13th May 2026

Our ladies played Stableford today and the winner was Jill Marshall scoring 39 points from Carol Dear 38, Liz Thynne 35 and Michelle Dillon 34. Rosie Laughlin won the Chino’s NTP on the 9th hole.

Thursday R & R Stableford 14th May 2026

A good turn out again for this popular weekly event. The winner on the day was Ron Schultze, scoring 39 points. Ball Pool went to Rob Fabry 36, Tony Hall 35, Gary Pay, Alan Free, Luke Hadfield 34 and John Pay 33.
NTP’s went to Brendan Shields 3rd, Tony Hall 5th, Tony Laughlin 9th, Shane Dibsdale 13th and Chris Waterson 16th. The Pen Award went to Aff Turner.

Saturday Stableford 16th May 2026

A strong field contested today’s event, with the Ladies winner being Deaniee Henderson 33 points and the Men’s winner Ron Schultze (twice in the week) scoring 40 points.
Ball Pool went to Gary Service 39, David Wood, Col Wilkie, Chris Gray 37, Blake Shay 35 and Terry Turvey 34.
Pen award went to Kevin Lane

Wednesday Ladies Monthly Medal Stroke 6th May 2026

A small group of ladies contested the Monthly Medal and the winner was yet again Jan Milne👏👏scoring 106-37=69.
Ball Pool went to Michelle Dillon 82-10=72 and Nola Robinson 103-28=75.
Chino’s NTP went to Michelle Dillon. Putting comp winner Carol Dear with 27.

Thursday R & R Stableford 7th May 2026

In some bitterly cold conditions 27, hardy or crazy players set off.
The winner was Kevin Sambrooks with 33pts c/b from Wayne O’Neill, Ron Delamare, Phil Lloyd, Doug Meehan 32, Ron Schultze 32.
NTP’s went to Gav Teasdale 3rd, Ron Delamare 5th, Kevin Sambrooks 9th, Jack Hewitt 13th and Casey Gillen 16th.

Saturday Greenwood Mugge 9th May 2026

Doug Meehan is the new holder of the Mugge for May after scoring 39 points.
Ball Pool went to Jean Youl 35, Greg Gin 34, Luke Hadfield 33, Chris Waterson 32, Z Bozanich and Rhy Kings 31.
The Pen Award went to David Knight.
NTP’s went to Chris Waterson 3rd, Doug Meehan 5th, Gav Teasdale 9th and (almost hole in one man Luke Hadfield) 13th, Rhys Kings 16th.

Luke was very unlucky not to have a Hole in One on the 13th after his ball hit the base of the pin and looped out to sit 50mm from hole. So so close Luke🥺

Vale David Drake❤️

It is with sadness that we remember David, fondly known as ‘Drakey’,
David worked for over 30 years as greens keeper for the golf and bowls (with the help of volunteers).
In the early days working conditions and lack of equipment presented many challenges but Drakey embraced his job. His greatest achievement was creating a map of the watering system infrastructure which took many years.
His passion for the improvement of the golf course saw him complete the watering system for the front 9.
David particularly enjoyed a cuppa and a chat with the members at the 10 o'clock meeting.

We pass on our condolences to Liam and family.
