Different proportions, limb lengths, and your active range of motion can lead to a lot of variation in how an exercise is performed.

In my experience the traditional 45° leg press tends to have peoples torso angle too far forward and even if you're able to reach full depth comfortably, the end point of the machine stops you before you get there.

As such, I've been playing with yoga blocks to optimise the angle and depth to more closely mimic a squat pattern.

These little adjustments can completely change how the movement feels. Don't be afraid to play around and give it a try!
