⚽️ Team of the Week – Round 7 ⚽️
A huge shoutout to our AAL2 Women’s team for earning Team of the Week! 🙌🔴⚪️
While this week ended in a 7–0 result, the scoreline certainly didn’t reflect the spirit, effort and positivity this team brought to the game 💪❤️
This is a brand-new social side made up of women with all levels of experience — from first-time players to those returning to football after many years away. Week by week, the team continues to grow in confidence, improve their passing, learn the game, and most importantly, have fun together 👏⚽️
A massive highlight of the match was our goalkeeper saving a penalty — a moment that felt just as exciting as scoring a goal! 🧤⭐️ For her bravery, effort and positivity, she was deservedly named Player of the Match.
One player summed up the learning curve perfectly after the game, joking that whenever the ball comes her way, her brain is just screaming “arghhh!” 😆 Yet somehow, week after week, she keeps getting more composed and continues to make a valuable contribution to the team.
It’s been incredible to see 18 women come together, support one another and stay committed to improving every week. The energy is awesome, the fitness is building, and the team spirit is even better. Keep it up, ladies — we love watching this journey! ❤️⚽️
