This is my new passion project. B**b yoga!!! Yes I know that sounds odd but it’s for facial release and lymphatic drainage to help with anyone who have mastitis, blocked ducts or any other inflammatory condition of the breast. My hope is every one who gets mastitis gets access to these self massage videos so they can get onto the problem straight away. Spread the word!

Mums and bubs yoga is a great way to spend time with your baby while learning to navigate and strengthen your postnatal body. We have some yoga exercises for the mums, some yoga exercises for the bubs and some yoga exercises for the mums and the bubs to do together.

No you don’t need to have ever done prenatal yoga before to join our prenatal yoga classes. In fact I would guess 70% of people in class have never done yoga before. As everyone’s bodies are changing daily we are all beginners to the movement available in them. My prenatal yoga classes are a mix of yoga and a mix of things that are good for prenatal bodies. So even if you are very experienced at yoga you will find something now in the way it’s presented for pregnancy.
Classes are Saturday 8:30 Kensington Sunday 9:30 Parkville Thursday 6:15 online or prerecorded in your own time and at you own location for more info try www.bonniemaplestone.com.au/yogamama

Why is it important to stretch out the hamstrings in yoga?
We need space in the hamstrings so that when the body needs to redistribute its weight to accommodate for the growing belly it has the freedom to move and is not anchored by the hamstrings.
If you would like to know more about the hamstrings in pregnancy try my you tube channel link in bio or go to www.youtube.com/ or to join us for a prenatal yoga class (in person, online or pre recorded) go to www.bonniemaplestone.com.au/yogamama

What do I think is the number one benefit of prenatal yoga? The flexibility? The strength? Preparation for birth? Space in the pelvis? Relaxation? Position suggestions for labour? Helping make sure you baby is head down? Learning safe ways to strengthen your wrists? Learning breathing techniques? Make sure your wrists are strong for the postnatal head holding? Opening the chest to counteract the heaviness of your expanding chest? Having good lymph flow and circulation? Preventing cramps? (There is plenty more) but actually I think it’s tuning into you every changing body. What do you think is the best thing about prenatal yoga. 5 reasons to try mums and Bub’s yoga. 1.relaxation - Mums and Bub’s yoga is a space for gentle movement deep breathing and relaxation. 2. Chance to get out of the house and spend quality time - Most mothers that come to Mums and Bub’s yoga report loving an outing and a hobby that they can share with their baby. It builds quality time and memories that you will cherish for ever.
3. Build a love of movement early, your baby will prioritise what you prioritise. You would be surprised at how early you baby will start to copy your movements. 4. Do something for your body to make you feel good. I don’t know about you but I always found it hard to do something good for me, as a mum I was always putting my baby first. In mums and bubs you I could prioritise both of us at the same time. 5. Find yourtribe - motherhood can be lonely having a time of week to catch up with other mothers in your area who have at lest one thing in common can make all the difference. Also it can be a great thing to invite any new mum friends along to see if they want to come to a class with you . Mums and bubs yoga classes Monday morning 9:15am at MIWM parkville book Www.bonniemaplestone.com.au/yogamiwm

B**b yoga is self massage and lymphatic drainage exercise to help find some relief from mastitis, engorgement and other inflammatory conditions of the breast.
This video shows exercises at 4x speed but if you want a full video with explanations and directions on how hard or soft to do the strokes try the you tube video https://youtu.be/Y7TUlJ7zgJ8?si=d36F82fqqTcDYHpD or for a video with very little explanation that is at the right speed and you can follow along with the exercises https://youtu.be/v0ZBRdmrH9I?si=Uy_9hvtsd5stpeHl while b**b yoga can give relief from the symptoms of mastitis it is best to talk to your health care professional and get some ultrasound therapy or some advice on feeding of pumping to find the cause of your mastitis. **byoga
