UNSW Wandering Society / Wandersoc What better way to explore the wanderful sights of Sydney than on foot?

Our society aims to hold social bush and urban walks in and around Sydney on a regular basis during term to promote an active lifestyle, appreciation of the environment and a chance to make some friends along the way. These walks will be an ideal way to refresh, chill and have some fun amidst your university studies!

🌿🥾 Hello, Wanderers! 🥾🌿

Thank you for joining our Platypus and Burraga Loop walk in week 9! While the walk started from a bus stop on a busy highway, we were soon among the trees 🌲🐦 and surrounded by birdsong. Along the way we crossed a few streams and spotted fungi 🍄‍🟫.

🌿🥾 Hello, Wanderers! 🥾🌿

Thank you for coming to our Jacaranda Walk on Sunday! Despite the overcast, hot, and humid weather, we pushed on through North Sydney. We walked through streets lined with Jacaranda trees and their gorgeous purple 💜 flowers before taking in some wanderful harbour views as we walked under the Harbour Bridge 🌉 and past Luna Park 🎢!

Along the way, we stopped for a lunch and tea 🍵 break before walking through The Coal Loader. For the rest of the walk, we saw plenty of lizards 🦎 and brushturkeys 🦃 before finishing the walk at Wollstonecraft Station.

We hope the weather didn’t make this walk too unpleasant for you! Be sure to join us for our next walk at Mount Elliot with Motorcycle Society 🏍️⛰️ on 16 November!

🌿🥾 Hello, Wanderers! 🥾🌿

Thank you for joining us on the Sculpture by the Sea walk on Thursday with SEGA Soc! We started at Coogee Beach’s Rainbow 🌈 Walkway, wandering past several beaches and taking in some amazing coastal 🏖️ views!

Once we reached Tamarama, we explored the various sculptures 🗿 which continued all the way to Bondi Beach. As we went past each sculpture, we pondered 🧠 about the meaning behind each of these works of art.

Gerringong to Kiama was our longest walk 🚶 of the term with stunning views of the coast 🏖

We hope you enjoyed this picturesque coastal walk with a lagoon crossing 🏝️ whale watching 🐋 sandy beaches ⛱ beautiful green hills 💚 and blowholes 🌊
