Thank you once again for your continual support of our club Staffan and Kew Corner Store . Sponsoring a court and our Junior Club championships each year .

Being the ball boy on the other hand… that’s a whole different story. Apparently dodging tennis balls, keeping up with the game and not getting hit in the head takes actual skill. 😅

Lucky for us, we’ll stick to serving up great coffee, snacks and cold drinks at Kew Corner Store and leave the ball chasing to the professionals!

Congratulations to club juniors and Camden Haven High students Elwood Dollery , Bentley Manning, Mitchell Job, Jack Elliott and Laith Mickklesson who beat Port Macquarie Hastings Secondary College 7 sets to 1 last week in the Boys Stan Jones Tennis Team Cup to precede to the North Coast finals in a Grafton in July. Also well done to club juniors Marley Holster and Charlise Dollery who will join them as part of the girls Camden Haven High tennis team playing in the Floris Conway Tennis Team cup. Congratulations to our committee member Sherrie Harris who has won gold and silver medals at the Barrington Coast Senior Pickleball Tournament over the last few days in Taree . Sherrie won Gold in the over 70’s Skinny Singles event and a Silver medal in the over 70’s Ladies Doubles with partner Kerry West. Also another congratulations to Roger Gray another member on his Silver medal win in the men’s doubles 70 doubles .

A popular 1 Point Slam event helped celebrate the end of the 2026 Junior Summer Competition and programs. The coaching kids enjoyed some free time on court before receiving their end of season gifts whilst the competition players cheered on a very competitive and exciting 1 Point Slam event.

What an honour for our club and President Wendy Hudson to be invited to Tennis Australia’s national conference “The Elevator” as a guest speaker earlier this week . The conference was held at Cape Schanck Resort on the Mornington Peninsula. Wendy spoke of our wonderful club, its programs, our connection to community along with our facility build on the “ People of tennis” panel.

"The Elevator" is Tennis Australia's inaugural "Shark Tank"-style hackathon designed to foster innovation, imagination, and inspiration within the organisation.

It was a great opportunity for our Club President to network and to hear some awesome ideas coming from staff and the bright future tennis has moving forward.

It was a wet finish to our 2026 Summer Night Competitions with our grand final washed out. However the party food and drinks afterwards helped ease the disappointment. Congratulations to our leaderboard champions.
