🌟 Dynamic Studios Scholarship Program 2026 🌟

At the end of each year, Dynamic Studios awards scholarships to students who demonstrate dedication, commitment, potential, and a genuine passion for their training.

These scholarships are not simply about results. They are about recognising students who consistently show a willingness to learn, work hard, and embrace every opportunity presented to them.

Last year, two of our scholarship recipients were Cadence Smith and Isla Floyd, who were each awarded additional training opportunities to support their growth throughout 2026 - a weekly private lesson for solo/performance opportunities

Both girls have recently performed at the Coffs Harbour Eisteddfod, with both students achieving wonderful results. Cadence receiving 1st Place for lyrical (very first) solo performance and Isla receiving 3rd Place for her Jazz Solo.

While placings are never the sole measure of success, it is incredibly rewarding to see students making the most of the opportunities provided to them and continuing to grow in confidence, performance quality, and technique.

We are so proud of both Cadence and Isla and look forward to watching their journeys continue throughout the remainder of the year. Congratulations, girls.

The little moments matter most.

When people think of dance, they often think about the performances, costumes, and the stage.

But for our youngest dancers, it's often the friendships they build, the imaginations they explore, and the confidence they gain that leave the biggest impact.

Today, one little ballerina proudly handed a drawing she had made to her class friend. It is a simple moment, yet one that perfectly captures what our preschool classes are all about.

Learning to take turns. Learning to follow direction. Learning to be kind. Learning to be brave. Learning to belong. There are so many wonderful benefits to every class.

These tiny dancers are the foundations of our studio family. They grow from preschoolers into primary students, performance team members, student teachers, and, for some, even teachers themselves.

Long before they perform on a stage, there are moments like these quietly shaping who they become.
Watching those journeys begin is one of the greatest privileges of what we do. 🩰✨

Happy faces. Tiny capes. Big imaginations. ✨🦸‍♀️

There’s something so special about watching little dancers arrive at class with excitement in their eyes, ready to learn, have fun, and make friendships along the way.

From the biggest surprised faces 😲 to the warmest teddy (snowball) cuddles after saving him from the tree... every moment tells a story.

These little personalities shine so brightly and remind us that dance is about so much more than steps, it's about confidence, creativity, friendships, and fun. Little do they know, every class is helping their development.

What an incredible start to the 2026 competition season for our 10 Years Performance Team! 💙

This weekend at the Coffs Harbour Eisteddfod, these dancers stepped onto the stage for their very first competition of the year and showcased their talent and hard work.

🏆 2nd Place – Maniac (Small Jazz Group)

🌟 4th Place – Lights, Camera, Action (Jazz Group) - The highlight. They were incredible, and this was a great result in such a strong large group section.

👏 Highly Commended – Help (Lyrical Group)

While we're thrilled with these results, what makes us most proud is the improvement, confidence, performance quality, and teamwork these dancers demonstrated throughout the weekend.

One comp down and a few more to go. We can already see the potential in these routines and are excited to continue refining, growing, and working hard as we move through the remainder of the season.

Congratulations, beautiful girls. Your dedication is paying off, and we can't wait to see where this journey takes you.

Term 3 brings exciting opportunities with our Dreamworld Trip & Australian Dance Festival in Sydney, and before we know it… Term 4 is all about
Concert Preparation, Ballet and Tap exams, and the opening of 2027 performance teams.

This is the term where the hard work continues, the foundations are set, and the magic starts to come together.

WELCOME TO THE DYNAMIC TEAM

🩵🖤 MISS JOELLE 🖤🩵

We are so excited to welcome Joelle Buntschu to the Dynamic Studios team as one of our incredible teachers.

Joelle is a powerhouse across all genres of Dance and Acrobatics. With strong technical training and a deep understanding of performance and precision, she brings both skill and passion into every class.

Many years ago, I had the privilege of teaching Joelle during her formative training, and now, welcoming her to the Dynamic Studios as a teacher is such a special full-circle moment.

Joelle is an asset to our studio. Our students will be inspired by her talent, professionalism and energy.

Here is a throw back to share. Same week. Two states. One very full life. 🩵🖤 10 years Ago.

As I look back on these photos, I can’t help but smile and want to share.

One was taken in the Uniting Church Hall in South West Rocks... do you recognise any little faces?

The other in Melbourne.

Same week. Different studios. Different worlds, somehow both mine.

At the time, I was living between two states. I had my dance school in SWR, something I was deeply committed to and loved with my whole heart. I had just met my partner in Melbourne.

So I did what made sense at the time…

I taught extra hours in Melbourne to fund flights back and forth weekly to keep classes running.

I’d finish teaching at 9pm Wednesday at SWR the evening prior and get up to drive from Kempsey to Newcastle Airport at 2am to catch a 6am flight, just to be back in time for Thursday afternoon teaching.

Crazy? Absolutely.
Worth it? Every single time.
Busy. Exhausting. Fulfilling.

I have some students say I have so much energy now... well I had a whole lot more back then! Haha.

Some dancers go on to professional contracts. My path led me to teaching. To little hands in first position. To reindeer antlers and giggles. To proud smiles holding their Easter treats.

I often think about how one different decision, one different circumstance, and everything could have looked completely different.

But I am so grateful for this pathway.

For the sacrifice.
For the Kilometres.
For the students & families.
For the way it all aligned.

Teaching Dance was never my “second option", it has always been my first. What I've always lived, loved and breathed.

If you believe in something deeply enough, you will find a way to make it work.
