⏰ There's Still Time to Register! 🥅

Registrations remain open for the upcoming Foundation of Goalkeeping Course, taking place this Sunday at Ian McLennan Park.

This course is the first step in the goalkeeper coaching accreditation pathway and is ideal for coaches, parents and volunteers looking to develop their knowledge and understanding of goalkeeper coaching.

Participants will gain the skills to deliver safe, effective and engaging goalkeeper training sessions, while learning key coaching principles and player-centred practices.

📢 MID-SEASON REMINDER – JEWELLERY AND PLAYER SAFETY

As we move into the second half of the season, Football South Coast would like to remind all players, coaches, team officials and parents that jewellery is not permitted to be worn during matches, in accordance with the Laws of the Game.

This includes, but is not limited to:
• Earrings (studs, sleepers and hoops)
• Necklaces
• Rings
• Bracelets and wristbands
• Facial piercings
• Smartwatches and fitness trackers

Please note that taping over jewellery is not permitted. All items must be removed prior to taking the field of play.

Match officials are required to enforce this law consistently across all competitions. The rule exists to minimise the risk of injury and ensure a safe playing environment for all participants.

We thank all players, parents and clubs for their cooperation and support in helping maintain the safety and integrity of our game. ⚽

Open to U12–U16 boys/mixed and girls teams, with games across Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons starting late July.

💜 Vale Joan Hudson

We are deeply saddened to acknowledge the passing of Joan Hudson, a respected and influential member of the Illawarra football community.

Joan gave more than 30 years of dedicated service to Oak Flats Seniors Soccer Club and was awarded Life Membership in recognition of her outstanding contribution.

She was also a Life Member of Oak Flats Juniors, the Illawarra Junior Soccer Association, and the Illawarra Women’s Association, and proudly served as the first Administrative Secretary of the Illawarra Soccer Association.

Joan’s contribution to football in our region leaves a lasting legacy.

Huge congratulations to Coledale Waves’ own Trevor Deeming, who has been recognised with a prestigious NSW Long Service Award for his outstanding dedication and contribution to football.

A truly well-deserved honour for someone who has given so much to the game and our community over many years 👏
