Hello everyone.

Apologise for the delay of information regarding Steve/Tubbie's Newcastle service.

Our family would like to thank everyone for their condolences and support. It has definately been a difficult time but the support we have received has been wonderful ❤️

Sport NSW has announced the return of the Fast Track for Female Coaches Course.

Although separate from the BNSW Coach Accreditation Courses, Fast Track aims to connect aspiring female coaches, provide exclusive insight and further develop their coaching and leadership behaviours and competencies - building capability and readiness as they fast track through the coaching talent pathway.

The course will commence on Tuesday, 12 October 2021 and run for six weeks with the final session held on Tuesday, 16 November 2021.

The online workshops will run weekly on Tuesday evenings from 6.00pm – 8.00pm, and will be delivered by ACPE academics plus industry-leading experts and experienced coaches from a variety of backgrounds.

Places are extremely limited and expressions of interest are now open.

The Super Series will aim to provide female players with the opportunity to play more competitive games against peer-based opposition throughout the season leading to increased personal development.

The series will also allow coaches to enhance their personal development through tactical decision making which is currently lacking in the modern game regarding modern philosophies.

Format
• Trials will be held on the 1st and 8th of September. The tournament will be commencing on Wednesday the 6th of October until the 15th of December, games will be played on a home and away basis for 9 weeks, followed by two weeks of finals.

• Games will be 7 innings or 2 ½ hours in length, starting at 7pm. There will be special rules to enhance tactical and strategic development. Rules to be communicated at the beginning of each inning (e.g., start the inning with a runner on 2nd, the hitter in a 1-1 count).

Registrations close at 5pm on Sunday, the 29th of August.

Just a reminder that once again, BNSW will be conducting our Women's Development Program (WDP) for 2021 and is now calling upon players who wish to trial for this program. Age eligibility for this program are League Age 12 and over (to check your child's League age please refer to your SportsLomo Registration for the 2020/2021 Season).

The program will run from July - September comprising of 2 training sessions per week in two nominated venues and will include Baseball specific skill development, Strength + Conditioning, Running Speed Development and incorporate the use of modern technology.

We are excited to announce the following coaches for the Women's Development Programs:

Moorebank Venue - NSW Coaches Phil Gruppelaar & Roger Morris - both of whom have coached at an elite NSW level.

Greenway Venue - NSW Coach Peter Neads with the assistance of Laura Neads, Elodie O'Sullivan & Claire O'Sullivan - who have all played at a State, National & International Level.

Baseball NSW are now taking registrations for the 2021 Women's Development Program. The program will focus on the fundamentals of baseball, progressing to more advanced drills throughout the 8 weeks.

The development program is open to female players aged League Age 13 and above. Girls who are League Age 12 from the 2020/2021 Season may be considered after a trial process to ensure the minimum skill level is attained for the safety of the participants.

Venue 1 (Southern)
Hammondville Oval, 230 Heathcote Road, Hammondville.
Tuesday and Thursday nights - 6:30pm to 8:30pm

Venue 2 (Northern) – to be confirmed subject to numbers
Greenway Park, Shepherds Drive, Cherrybrook.
Wednesday and Friday nights - 7:00pm - 9:00pm.

Should there be sufficient numbers, Baseball NSW will run both venues subject to minimum registration numbers being achieved.

The program will commence Tuesday, July 13 and concluding on Friday, September 3, 2021.
