I'm back BABY! Who is keen for some PT?

I'm getting back into coaching after having a baby so I have time available, if anyone is interested let me know.

I've been a trainer for 13 years and have trained people for weight loss, work place fitness tests and everything in-between.
I specialise in postpartum recovery and have recently written an ebook on the core and pelvic floor.

Postpartum exercise can be controversial 🤔

Don’t take your advice from❌
- Old school views and ideals
- Instagram
- TikTok
- Celebrities (Who are being glorified in glossy mags for loosing all there baby weight in 2 weeks)
All these have a lot to answer for…

Because of the external pressure, training after having a baby can seem very daunting,
What is correct?
What you should you be doing?

It can be quite exhausting, trying to figure out what the right thing is!

- If you can Enlist a professional (Me)
- Start training before you have a baby
- If possible consistently train whilst pregnant
- Come straight back to training when your doctor give you the all clear!

Weight loss and heavy lifts??

Issy has lost an incredible 14kg and unfortunately sometimes that can effect your big lifts! This is her hitting her PB from last testing. 82kg BABY 👌🏻

It’s not something to beat yourslef up about, if your in a deficit it can be super hard to maintain or put on muscle.

We are working towards maintaining strength whilst loosing weight ☝🏻

Isidora’s lifestyle change 💪🏻

Isidora has achieved these incredible results through heavy lifting with a splash of cardio.

Isi has also managed to achieve a healthy relationship with her body shape/imagine, I personally think this is the biggest win🩵

She said “I’ve been this weight before but have never felt this confident”. That’s the goal, you can be any shape or size but it’s all about how you feel about yourself!

I could not be prouder of my beautiful client and friend.

Isidora has stayed consistent through the highs and lows of this journey, she decided to put her health first and she was on a mission, this has reflected in all her choices over the last few months.

-She committed to 2x PT sessions a week plus gym classes at Code5.
-She works crazy hours but made the time religiously even working split shifts.
- She still enjoyed a balanced lifestyle and fun times out with friends.

We focused on lifts and benchmarks not just weight loss which should just be a byproduct of training hard, I think it’s also important to have physical goals that are tangible like a heavy deadlift 😊.

How to get back up ??

How dam hard is it to get back up when knocked down by life in some way, weather it be:
- Injury
- Work
- Relationships
You name it, it can set us off course
With our goals and fitness …

We loose our drive and as “motivated” as we usually are something isn’t quite right.

I want you to know you are not the only one, I hear this so often and of course experience it myself. (More than you would think)

It’s so hard to pick back up once something has gone “wrong”.

What I have watched and experienced to help in these times is to be:
- Kind to yourself
- Move your body everyday
- Try not to bully yourself
- Understand that we all have highs and lows
- What we see on Instagram is not always real
- Small consistent steps will get you further than you think
- Determination and consistency wins in the end.

If you are feeling like you have hit a plateau or are feeling stuck, send me a msg and I’ll try my very best to help you, to the best of my ability.

The best thing you can do for your kids is to be the healthiest version of you!

By showing them how important it is to stay fit and active you are being the very best role model you can be.

If you are heathy you’re kids are healthy 🌈 simple 🌈

The head noise on this day was huge.

I’ve realised I have such high expectations of myself that I honestly wouldn’t put on anyone else.

I’m making a massive effort to enjoy training and to not feel the need to wreck myself to feel good about myself ....

I also see this in friends and clients, we are draining the enjoyment out of something that should be fun!
