It was in October 2009 when I first invited Mr LaPorta, the President of FC Barcelona at the time, to bring Barcelona to Australia. I guaranteed him 100,000 spectators at one venue.
Today Chelsea arrived in Sydney to tour and play against Sydney on Tuesday night, and yesterday Tottenham Hot Spurs played Sydney FC.
In the coming weeks other great European clubs visit Melbourne.
It both saddens me, and upsets me that the great club FC Barcelona which I have promoted and supported since January 2008 when FCB Australasia Supporter's Club Inc. has never done the right thing by it's fans in Australia and the South Pacific.
The photo on the timeline was taken at the time I extended the invitation to FCB. On that occasion I took 40 fans to Barcelona where they met Pep who was the coach at the time.
