Our well-supported trail events are perfect for the novice or highly experienced trail runner. Its only a little bit about the finish and mostly about the journey. 🌲 Love the trails? Want to be part of something special? Come join Team Trailsplus at the Marysville Marathon Festival! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Not looking to race this time? Why not enjoy a relaxed walk or jog through some of Victoria’s most beautiful trails while helping others achieve their goals? 🌿⛰️

We're looking for friendly, positive people to join our Course Sweep Volunteer Team across a range of distances.

🥾 10km | 21km | 42km | 50km

🌙 Even a NIGHT 50km option for those who fancy an adventure under the stars!

💚 What's a Course Sweep?

You'll follow the runners, offer encouragement, help keep an eye on things and collect course markers along the way. It's a rewarding way to experience the event from a different perspective while supporting the runners who might need that extra smile, chat or bit of encouragement.

🙌 You don't need to be an elite runner. Just bring a reasonable level of fitness for your chosen distance, a positive attitude and a willingness to help.

❤️ At Trailsplus, our volunteers are the heart of what we do. The friendships, shared experiences and satisfaction of helping someone reach the finish line are what make our trail running community so special.

The Marysville Marathon Festival is more than a trail running event, it’s a celebration of resilience and community. Created after the devastating 2009 Black Saturday bushfires to encourage people to return, reconnect and support a town determined to rebuild, it has become a proud annual tradition.

Take a look at the Marysville 50KM course 🌲 Just 3 weeks until we’re back in Marysville for the Mountain Series Finale!

This flyover previews the trails waiting this November. Courses wind through Marysville Mountain Ash forests, follow sections of the Steavenson River and lead runners into the surrounding mountains, where flowing creeks, fern gullies, scenic lookouts and the iconic Steavenson Falls create an unforgettable trail running experience.

Up for a bigger challenge? Step up to the 100KM Ultra Marathon, or take on the Marathon. Prefer something shorter? There's also the Half Marathon, 10KM, 7KM/14KM King & Queen of the Mountain, 4KM and the Kids Dash.

More than a race. This is Marysville.

When the fires came through in 2009, this town lost so much. What it rebuilt was something you can feel the moment you arrive. Warmth, resilience and a community that opens its arms to everyone who comes to run.

That spirit is what the Marysville finale is built on. It is in the volunteers at every checkpoint, the locals lining the streets, the families cheering strangers up the final climb, and the runners who lift each other along the trail. No one finishes this one alone.

Whether you are chasing your first finish line or your hundredth kilometre, you become part of the story here. Five destinations, one journey, and a community that carries you the whole way.
