For season 2026/27, East Keilor Cricket Club is creating more opportunities than ever before for women to be part of our community.

Alongside the formation of our new Senior Women’s Cricket Team, we’re also introducing Women’s Social Cricket, because not everyone wants to play competitively, and that’s perfectly okay.

Whether you’re looking to pull on the traditional whites and represent the club or simply enjoy a relaxed mid-week hit with friends, laughter and fresh air, there’s a place for you here.

You don’t need to have played before.
You don’t need to be a superstar.
You don’t even need to know how to play a reverse sweep!

You just need to be willing to give it a go.

Maybe you’ve played in the past and want to return. Maybe you’ve watched your kids from the boundary and thought, “I could do that.” Or maybe you’ve never picked up a bat but would love to meet new people, get active and be part of something positive.

At East Keilor, we believe clubs are strongest when everyone feels they belong. We want our women’s programs to reflect the diversity of our community and provide a welcoming environment where friendships are built, confidence grows and memories are made.

Senior cricket at East Keilor Cricket Club is ready for something big.

As we look ahead to the new season, we are seeking new players who want to be part of a local cricket club with history, heart and a real sense of community.

This season, we are looking to build strong numbers across (potentially):

Two Day Cricket
45 Over One Day Cricket
T20 Cricket
Women’s Cricket

And yes, the possibility of establishing a women’s team at East Keilor Cricket Club is something we are incredibly excited about.

This is more than just filling teams.

It is about opening new doors.

It is about creating opportunities for players of all backgrounds, abilities and experience levels to come down, get involved, meet good people and feel like they genuinely belong.

Whether you have played for years, had time away from the game, are new to the area, want a fresh start, or have always thought about giving cricket a go, we would love to hear from you.

Season 2026/27 is coming, and East Keilor Cricket Club would love to welcome new families, returning families, and every child who wants to be part of something positive.

At EKCC, junior cricket is about much more than batting, bowling and winning games. It is about kids feeling safe, included, supported and confident enough to be themselves. It is about friendship, teamwork, respect, encouragement and belonging.

We are proud to be a club that welcomes children and families from all backgrounds. Different cultures, different abilities, different experience levels, different personalities, one shared club. Everyone deserves the chance to feel part of the game, part of a team, and part of a community that values them.

To any parent thinking about bringing their child down for the first time, your child does not need to be an expert. They do not need to have played before. They just need to come down, have a go, meet some good people and experience cricket in a supportive club environment.

To our current EKCC players, parents, carers, coaches, volunteers and supporters, we genuinely want you back. Your loyalty means everything. You are the reason this club keeps growing. Every child who returns, every parent who drives to training, every family who helps, and every supporter who cheers from the boundary matters.

Five games into the Indoor Cricket 2026 Season and we're really proud of what this group is building.
The scoreboard says we've won four and lost one, but as always, that's only a tiny part of the story.
What we've enjoyed most is watching friendships and confidence grow and seeing the kids/teens genuinely look forward to Friday nights at the @ . Every week they're learning something new, backing each other up and always trying to becoming a better indoor cricket team.
We really wish to thank our parents. Whether it's driving not only your own child but often someone else's as well, helping organise the availability chaos, or simply being there every week supporting the players, this team doesn't function without you.
Five rounds down and plenty of indoor cricket still ahead of us. Win, lose or draw, if this team keeps developing as players and as mates, we're heading in the right direction.
