Katherine Motocross Club

As we all know getting insurance to run a motocross club is difficult and as such we are always looking for better options. Thanks to Daryl Petch and his team they have made this easy for us. We have been quoted $5,967 for the year and this will allow us to run the club independently making for more fun and more ride days.

Keep your eyes peeled for more updates as we come towards the start of the new season.

Yesterday we held our AGM.

This was a critical meeting for the club and would determine if we would shut down completely after 53 years or if we could continue to operate.

We are pleased to announce that we will still continue operating. Even with a small turn out to the meeting those who did attend pitched in and put their hands up to keep the club alive.

So massive thanks to the committee that put in a lot of hard work over the last 3 years to recover the club from a failed insurance back to a fully operational club.

And of course a big congratulations and good luck to the new committee.

Reminder

Our AGM will be held this Saturday 15th November at 1130. Taking place at Katherine country club.

All positions need to be filled for the club to continue and all current committee members are not able to fill positions due to moving away for work.

So come on down and throw your hand up to help out our little club

Just a few days away from our open weekend!!

Our friends from NT Thunder - Motocross Team will be down at the track all weekend providing food and cold drinks to help raise funds that will go towards supporting your very own NT Team at the AJMX so be sure to get in, grab some food or a drink and help get some of our young guns down there

Save the date, tell your friends!!

1st and 2nd of November we will be holding an open ride weekend, no need to be a member just come down and ride.

Of course we will need you to pay us a little money, $20pp per day is all we are asking ( unless already a member). We can also offer camping for $10 for the night.

The track will be open from sun up to sun down both days so we hope to see you there bright and early.

We will have EFTPOS and cash payment options available for both days.

We have moved our AGM forward!

To ensure we are able to have maximum current committee attendance we have had to move our AGM to the 15th of November. The time and location will remain the same, 1130 at the Katherine country club.

We hope to see everyone there and hopefully be able to continue operating the club next year.

This club runs on volunteers and unfortunately if we do not get any one to fill the positions for the upcoming year we will be forced to close the club.

So please if you are interested in keeping the club open chuck your name in for any of the positions.

What this means to everyone you ask, well this means that if no one steps up to fill the main positions then the club will be left no choice but to cease all activities.
