On Sunday the 1st of March we had our tennis club break up party and presentation Arvo. A big thank you to the Katandra Fire Brigade for letting us use the Fire Shed to have our breakup, we appreciate you lending us the space at short notice, due to wet weather. A big thank you to everyone for donating a salad or sweet and to the blokes for cooking the BBQ. Special mention to Grant, Paddy and Anthony. Attached are a few pics. Our Champ of the courts this season were Eva Van Eyk for D1, Luke Putman for C2 and Alex Smith for C1.

Thanks to all the players and parents on a great season. A big thankyou to our team managers Bek Campbell, Paddy Scott, Kaitlyn Kelly and Mick Kelly. Thanks to Bek for being Treasurer and Kaitlyn for being Secretary for the season. Also, a special mention to Grant McLarty, Kev Pop Teague and Luke Felmingham for keeping our courts and facilities looking great.

It was an enjoyable evening and a great way to finish off the season. I look forward to seeing you all again next season. Go Kats!

Premiers and Champions. Congratulations C2.

What a morning of tennis. Thank you to McEwen Reserve for hosting the first final. We had our C1 team and C2 team play today.

Unfortunately, our C1 team lost. The scores were Katandra 3 sets 25 games to Shepp Lawn Yellow 5 sets 38 games. Attached is a picture of our C1 team who played a great year of tennis. All the best to the two Shepp Lawn teams who are playing against each other tomorrow.

Congratulations to our C2 team for winning today. The scores were Katandra 7 sets 45 games defeated Tatura Lawn 1 set 23 games. They are playing in the grand final tomorrow at Shepp Lawn, against Shepp Lawn. Attached is a picture of the team and we wish them all the best in grand final.

Thanks to everyone for your support today and we will see you all at Shepp Lawn tomorrow for another exciting morning of tennis.

It's a big weekend of tennis for our club.

Congratulations to the C1 and C2 team on making it to the finals.

Both teams are playing at McEwen Reserve on Saturday the 28th of February.

C1 will play against Shepp Lawn Yellow.
C2 will play against Tatura Lawn.

The winners from the Saturday game will play in the Grand Final on Sunday the 1st of March.

Then on Sunday we will have our Breakup/Presentation from 5pm onwards to celebrate everyone who participated in the season.

Our home and away season is now complete for the junior tennis season.

Congratulations to all 3 teams for a great season. Each and every child has shown improvement in their game. Thanks to all the parents and supporters for supporting us.

Unfortunately, our D1 team didn't make finals however they finished off the season with winning 2 sets. That is a great achievement, considering a lot of their games went to deuce. Attached is lots of pics of their tennis games from the past couple of weeks.

Our C1 and C2 teams have had a great season too and have been fortunate enough this season to make it to the top 4 so they have secured a spot in the finals. More details about finals will be shared over the next few days.

Our Wednesday training sessions with Mark Mills has some spare spots. If your child is interested in learning about tennis come along to the courts on a Wednesday from 3.45pm to 4.15pm during the school term. Or alternative please call Mark Mills on 0429 307 373. Lessons are priced at around $100 per term. If you don’t have a tennis racquet one can be provided for you.

Well today we played our last weekend of tennis before we break for the Christmas and Summer holidays. We will have our first game back on the 31st of January next year.

Pictures below are of our D1 team. They look great with their Christmas Decorations. Unfortunately, they lost today to Kialla Park, however there was some great rallies.

Our C2 team played against Tatura this morning in Tatura and they came away with another win. It was a challenge for them today adjusting to the lawn courts.

Our C1 team had a bye.
