Due to our recent amalgamation with the other Hamersley clubs. All registrations for the 2025/26 season, competition and training, are now directly through Hamersley Athletics Centre.

Hamersley Athletics based at Charles Riley Reserve, North Beach, provides athletics training and competition for Little, Junior and Senior Athletes.

📣 Important Update: Hamersley Athletics Centre – One Club, One Community!

Following the recent Special General Meeting, we’re excited to confirm that Hamersley Athletics Centre will transition to form one club for the 2025/26 season and beyond. 💛

Over recent seasons, it has become increasingly challenging to maintain operations across five separate clubs while delivering the best possible experience for our athletes and families. After extensive consultation and feedback from members, it was clear change was needed. All votes were in favour of our five affiliated Little Athletics clubs (Sorrento, Oceanside, North Beach, Glendale, Karrinyup) to officially amalgamate under the single entity of Hamersley Athletics Centre.

This change marks a new era for Hamersley – one that unites our resources and volunteers under one banner to better support our athletes, simplify administration, and ensure long-term sustainability.

More information on what this means for training, registrations, uniforms, and the upcoming season will be shared soon.

Training for State Championships

U9s to U17s and seniors.
Wednesday 26th February and then every Wednesday until 19th March.
5.30 to 7pm at Charles Riley Reserve.

There will be training for athletes heading to State Junior and Senior Championships starting this coming week. We will have experienced coaches available so athletes can practice their events. No need to sign up, just arrive and be ready to train!

Uniform info for zones!

UNIFORM FOR ZONES NEXT WEEKEND

If you have a child registered for Zone Championships next weekend, please make sure they have the correct uniform.

If you need to order a Hamersley uniform, you need to order via the ONLINE SHOP NO LATER THAN TUESDAY NIGHT. https://hamersleyathletics.square.site/

Ordered uniforms can be picked up at Hamersley training on WEDNESDAY - 5.30pm at Charles Riley Reserve.

U7s & U8s DO NOT NEED A HAMERSLEY UNIFORM - they can wear their usual club uniform.

U9s to U15s MUST WEAR HAMERSLEY UNIFORM - Athletes will NOT BE ALLOWED TO COMPETE in club uniform. Note that black shorts may also be worn.

This Saturday all athletes and families are asked to wear purple in support of the Cole family who sadly lost their 6 year old daughter before Xmas.

The Cole family have been long time members of Karrinyup LAC with Dad Ron serving on the committee.

Purple was Hannah’s favourite colour. Ideas include purple hats, socks, hair colour—as long as athletes are also wearing club uniform, the rest is up to you!

We will be donating all proceeds from the canteen.

Due to the forecast hot weather tomorrow, our TWILIGHT COMPETITION tomorrow (Wednesday) evening has been CHANGED TO 5PM START.

Parents rostered for setup are required at 3.30pm.

The 1500m invitational race is planned to be run as the first track event, however we will monitor condions and postpone if needed.

Make sure you bring plenty of water, a hat and sunscreen! A top tip is to freeze some water bottles tonight to bring with you.
We will monitor conditions and adhere to the Athletics West weather policy. Usually it is cooler at our ground as it is only 700m from the beach so 🤞
