Track update mid Feb , still pretty busy on the track and she’s holding up pretty well , only one mogule section to traverse as pictured, beach is amazing as always , nice kiddy pools forming as the beach naturally widens this time of the year and the surfing conditions improve.
Looking forward to the upcoming Salmon season , drive safe and enjoy.☺️

Happy 2026 New year , track update 1/1/26 .Its in its best shape ive seen in many years with only a couple of small holes to navigate, the beach is soft southern end of entry so recommend tyre pressure kept low , definitely recommend not taking trailers down the track as can cause issues with traffic when needing to reverse into side areas to allow passing on the single lane two way track and be mindful with driving speeds near beachgoers for their safety especially with small children. Busiest time on track is generally 9am to 12 noon . Enjoy the relaxing crystal blue waters and pristine beach 😊

Track update 19/10/25 main track in and up holding out pretty well considering the wettest winter in 30+ years, still many puddle crossings but not so full , a decent size hole on way down to the beach where many are getting stuck and looks to be getting a little worse each time so be prepared to tackle this with care , beach is open again but recommend stay high as she’s real steep near entry area along that part of the beach as you don’t want to loose your car to the surf , enjoy the adventure 😊.

Track and beach update 5th August 2025 Many puddle crossings one very deep one in last pic if you land your wheels in ruts , some erosion from the wettest winter we have had in decades, recommend staying off the beach as the fluff has been pushed up to the very top so even staying high is risky as seen in pic we decided to not go further as sank and needed good 4b skills to reverse out. Sadly the most micro plastics I’ve ever seen on this once pristine beach, please bring a bag and lend a hand if you come for an adventure and enjoy this beautiful part of the world 🙏

Track and beach update mid June 2025 , some decent puddles , track and beach erosion , can still access north end of Boranup but beach is getting smaller each week , rough seas . If you like having the beach to yourself this is a great time of year .

Happy Easter 🐣 Track and beach update 22-4-25 with recent track maintenance and rain falls its an easy ride now , beach is also quite firm , record numbers today with a decent swell , recent salmon schools and all day off shore light winds has attracted hundreds of people and 4WDs to enjoy one of our best beaches in the Southwest … please stay off the Dunes , leave no trace and respect the no camping signs and drive slowly near cars parked up as many have small children 🙏

March track and beach pics… generally conditions are good especially since the rain we have been receiving, beach is firm and we didn’t have to drop tyre pressure as we stayed high until further north on the beach where the beach was flat … surf conditions were superb and lotsa crew enjoying the stunning conditions… there is a few decent holes coming back up the track which need some confidence to traverse and may prove challenging especially with easter busy period. Drive safe and enjoy ☺️ 🙏

Track update 18th Jan 2025, track generally good condition, just one small challenge on way down to beach but pretty good overall , beach widening nicely , traffic not to bad , best to have tyres on 18 psi on beach ….Enjoy

Track update 13/10/24 : in general track is in good condition and holding up after winter rains, just a few ruts to deal with to make it a little interesting.
I remember meeting an old fella at the local Karridale servo , he looked sad 😞 so asked how he was , turned out his 4B got bogged down low on the Boranup beach the night before, he spent many hours trying to dig himself out but couldn’t get out, the poor fella walked all the way from the beach to the servo and had no sleep…. Anyways i said we had an old farm tractor and a fella on the farm who could help , so off they went on a rescue mission to save his car before the tide came up and swallowed his car whole. A couple of hours later and she was out but unfortunately the ol tractor suffered a blown tyre on its way back . Fortunately the ol fella paid ol mate and the ol tractor got a new tyre and home safely.
So there we have a lesson and a blessing; dont drive low in the beach especially the southern end due to the soft sand and acts of kindness gets appreciated.

Track and beach update 8th July … Track has had more work done recently and super easy now , even has pink spray marks on exposed rocks … sadly the adventurism isnt as much fun … i guess times are changing … the beach is still accessible heading north although getting eaten away slowly as shown in one of the pictures… hadn’t needed to drop tyre pressure due to wet beach sand . Removed some ocean rubbish , beach is relatively clean though… until next time … Enjoy 😊
