We are very excited to announce that the Pilbara Regional Karate Championships for Karratha/Dampier/Wickham students are back again this year! 🎉

📅 Saturday, 24 October 2026
⏰ Starts at 11:30 AM
📍 Karratha Leisureplex (fitness room next to the cafe)

After the fantastic success of last year’s Championships, we are looking forward to another exciting day of karate, friendship and great competition!

The Championships are a wonderful opportunity for our students to demonstrate the skills they have been working so hard to develop, challenge themselves, gain competition experience and support their fellow karateka. 🥋💪

🔸 KIHON – Yellow belt students and below
🔸 KATA – All students
🔸 TEAM KATA – All students
🔸 KUMITE – Orange belt students and above

💰 Registration Fee: $20
🍴 Food will be provided

Whether this is your first competition or you have competed before, we encourage all eligible students to take part. It’s not just about winning medals — it’s about having the courage to step onto the floor, doing your best and showing true karate spirit. ❤️

🥋 KARATE GRADING SUCCESS! 🥋

Congratulations to all of our students who recently participated in our karate grading! We are incredibly proud of everyone's hard work, determination, and positive attitude.

Our white belt students were examined by Carl Sensei on 24 June, where they had the opportunity to demonstrate the skills they have been developing since beginning their karate journey.

We were also honoured to welcome Andrew Carey Sensei (6th Dan) from Geraldton, who visited our club to share his knowledge and teach some excellent techniques during the weekend. Andrew Sensei then conducted the grading for our coloured belt students on 26 & 27 June.

A big congratulations to everyone who graded successfully👏🏻🏅 Your commitment and perseverance continue to make our club proud.

A special thank you to Andrew Carey Sensei for making the trip to Karratha and sharing his expertise with our students, and to Carl Sensei for his ongoing dedication and support.

Well done, everyone! Keep training hard, stay humble, and continue striving to improve.

All students must complete and sign our Code of Conduct & Waiver before proceeding with 2 x free trials and or registration.
Minimum age to start karate training is 7 years old.

• Term Registration (subscription) or
• Semester Registration (subscription)

✅ Code of Conduct & Waiver
All members are now required to complete and sign our Code of Conduct & Waiver before proceeding with registration.
This ensures that all members and parents clearly understand our responsibilities, safety requirements, and club policies.

✅ New Subscription Payment System
We have also introduced subscription-based payments for:
❋ Term registrations
❋ Semester registrations
This change will make payments more convenient and help streamline our administration.

🎅 Thank You for a Wonderful Christmas Party & Presentation of Awards! 🎄

What an amazing way to finish the year!
Our KSK Christmas Party & Presentation of Awards was full of smiles, laughter, and celebration.

A huge thank you to Sensei Carl and Sensei Lee for presenting the awards to our students. The kids who received their awards were absolutely thrilled — and their parents couldn’t have been prouder! 🥋✨

All three Senseis — Carl, Lee, and Ayumi — were also surprised with heartfelt “Thank You Gifts” from our dojo kids and their parents🎁. Your dedication and guidance inspire us all.

We enjoyed so much delicious food together, and after the presentations, the kids had a blast on the Aqua Run at the Leisureplex pool! 💦

A big thank you to everyone who participated and to our amazing volunteers who helped make the day such a success. ❤️

We wish all our karate families a Merry Christmas and a happy, safe holiday season! 🎄🥳

🥋 CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL STUDENTS ON PASSING THEIR GRADING! 🥋

A huge well-done to every student who has taken part in our end-of-year gradings — both at last week’s White Belt & White/Yellow Belt grading, and at yesterday’s main grading with Andrew Carey Sensei (6th Dan).

Every student passed their grading, and we are incredibly proud of the spirit, effort, and improvement shown across all levels. 👏✨

It has been inspiring to watch students demonstrate their techniques with confidence and strong Kiai. Throughout the grading day, students also learned important self-defence skills, helping them grow not just in karate, but in awareness and resilience.

A heartfelt thank-you to Andrew Carey Sensei for his guidance, and to all parents and supporters for your ongoing encouragement. Your support helps our students thrive.
