💛 LET’S RAISE BIG FOR TELETHON! 💛

The Runathon 4 Telethon 2026 is coming to Dampier and we’d love to see the whole community get behind it!

🦘 🏉 Join the Karratha Kangaroos team
OR
🙌 Rally your mates, work crew, business, sporting club or community group and enter your own team!

Each team takes on just one 4-hour relay time slot as part of the 30-hour event — walk it, jog it, dress up, have some fun and help raise money for an amazing cause.

📅 8am Saturday 17 October – 2pm Sunday 18 October 2026
📍 Windy Ridge Oval, Dampier

🧡ROOS FAMILY - ONE OF OUR OWN NEEDS US 🧡

There are times when being part of a club means so much more than what happens on a footy field.

One of our KKJRL families has suffered the unimaginable, losing their family home and belongings in a devastating house fire.

Most importantly, all eight members of the family made it out safely, and for that we are incredibly thankful. But they are now facing the heartbreaking reality of having to rebuild their lives and replace the everyday things most of us never think twice about.

This family has been part of our Kangaroos community for many years, and right now, it’s our turn to wrap around them. 🧡

A GoFundMe has been established to help ease some of the immediate financial pressure and support the family as they begin to work through what comes next.

We know our community will want to help in whatever way they can. Donations can be made directly through the GoFundMe, and the family is also gratefully accepting donations of clothing and other everyday essentials. Even simply sharing the GoFundMe can help it reach more people.

Our club has always talked about Family, Mateship, Heart & Passion - and moments like this are when those values matter most.

So, Roos family and wider Karratha community, let’s do what we do best.

Our club has had an incredible year, and now we’re looking for people who want to help us keep building, improving and creating opportunities for our players and families in 2027. 🖤🧡💛🤍

There’s a role for everyone - whether you want to take on a leadership position, help behind the scenes, bring new ideas or simply be part of a great team.
