Pilbara Trailblazers Pilbara Trailblazers is a volunteer-led running club in WA's Pilbara region. We focus on community, connection, and having a go.

Join us for weekly parkruns, training sessions, social runs and events, and our signature event the Red Dirt Backyard Ultra! Pilbara Trailblazers is a social running group designed to help promote mental and physical health and promote community. Pilbara Trailblazers is run by running enthusiasts that are all volunteers. Although the volunteers are enthusiastic, they are not professional run coach

es. It is each individual's responsibility to ensure that they are capable of each session, and if not, pull back and perform to your capabilities. Pilbara Trailblazers do not have insurance that covers participants for injury or illness, and it is suggested that all participants ensure that they have sufficient health insurance to cover them should they become ill or injured during a Pilbara Trailblazers event.

LIGHT HORSE ULTRA – 24 HOURS

A few of our Pilbara Trailblazers are down in Perth today taking on the Light Horse Ultra at Perry’s Paddock, Woodvale.

Matt, Jacs, Ray and Jaime are teaming up for the 24-hour relay, while Amanda is taking on the 24-hour individual event. 💪

LAP 168, TOGETHER 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

This morning, our Pilbara Trailblazers community came together on the Red Dirt Backyard Ultra course for a Project 168 virtual lap.

Some ran, some jogged, some walked and some rode. We had adults, kids and dogs out on the course, and one lucky little Trailblazer even got carried on her super mum’s shoulders!

Some completed the full 6.71km within the hour and some finished with a DNF, but everyone was there to be part of lap 168.

It was wonderful to see our community come together to celebrate Phil Gore and Gemma Gore, their incredible Project 168 journey and the amazing amount raised for Telethon7 Perth.

Thank you to everyone who joined us this morning. What a special way to mark lap 168 together! ❤️
