Another successful weekend for Coasties at Bateau Bay PCYC tournament. It's not just about the medals (although they are nice), it's the support and being out there having a great time. Coasties definitely get a gold for their team support.

This is what Coasties is all about. ❤️

Our incredible member Timmy Edwards ran
a special session for deaf pickleball players at our
Kariong courts — and what a morning it was. Smiles,
laughs, great rallies and an amazing group of people
sharing a love of the game.

Big thanks to Fads, Darren and Luke P for coming along to
help out, and to Deaf Pickleball Australia for the
kind words. 🙏

And here's the exciting part — this group is heading
into the in just 4 weeks time!
Held every 4 years, the ADG is the pinnacle multi-sport
event for the Australian Deaf community, attracting
over 1,000 competitors from across Australia and the
Pacific. We're all cheering you on!

Even better — we're making this a regular thing.
Deaf pickleball sessions every 3 months at Kariong
in collaboration with Coasties. Watch this space. 🏓

150 members — and we're still growing! 🎉🏓

When we started Coasties Pickleball Club, the goal was
simple — build a genuine community where everyone
belongs, on and off the court. Hitting 150 members in 7 months shows that's exactly what we've done together.

This milestone belongs to every single one of you.
Every game, every session, every new face you welcomed
to the court.

It also belongs to our incredible volunteer committee
who give their time freely to keep this club what it
is — affordable, accessible and community-first. No
one here is making a profit. We exist purely for the
love of the game and the people who play it. ❤️

We're so proud of what we've built together.

One year ago at this very tournament, a few of us dreamed up this club. This weekend we came back as Coasties — and what a feeling it was to look around and see our hats, our shirts, and our logo proudly displayed on the main court 🌊🏓
Couldn’t be prouder of every single person who wore the jersey, cheered from the sidelines, or just showed up. That’s the Coasties way.

The Big Chill in Canberra brought out the BEST of our club this weekend. 🥶🏓 Huge congratulations to our amazing medal winners 🥇🥈🥉 — you smashed it! Equal love to everyone who competed and gave their all. 💪 But what made this weekend truly special wasn’t just the medals — it was watching our community show up for each other. 💚 The cheers, the encouragement, the celebrations big and small — that’s the Coasties difference. Because winning is sweeter and losing is easier when you’ve got people in your corner. 🙏 Medals across multiple events and categories — this is what we’re all about! 🙌
