Melville City Hockey Club Melville City Hockey Club is one of Western Australia's biggest clubs, catering for all ages from Minkey (5 yrs old+) through to Masters (O40, O50, O60).

We welcome players of all ages, experience and abilities. You're never too young or too old to start playing hockey!

DIRECTOR OF HOCKEY

After advertising widely and a rigorous selection process undertaken by the Executive Committee, we are very pleased to announce that Craig Wilson has accepted the role of Director of Hockey. Craig and the Wilson family are well known to all at the club, with Craig’s late father, Ron, coaching the club’s top Men’s side to promotion to First Division in the late 1970’s. Craig played all his Junior hockey at Melville before a stint at Vic Park, where he played and later coached their top side to a premiership. Craig returned to Melville in 2018 and coached our Men’s Premier 1 team to unprecedented success, with a winning ratio of over 70%, 5 top of the ladder seasons, 4 Grand Finals and 2 Premierships.

We are very lucky to have someone of Craig’s experience and passion for the game in this role at a pivotal time for hockey and our club.

There are countless players who never get to experience the feeling of winning a Grand Final.
That’s what makes this achievement so special.
After months of commitment (?), hard work (?), and determination, two Melville teams have reached the pinnacle and can proudly call themselves premiers.

Success like this is rare, and the memories made on Grand Final day will stay with you forever.
